This is a splendid hotel in a central position, yet within a few minutes walk to the promenade. Our room was of a good size and the bed was probably the most comfortable we have ever slept in. The bathroom/shower was plentiful in its provision of toiletries which were replenished regularly. The room was beautifully cleaned and comfortable. The excellence of this hotel was highlighted by its exceptional staff. They made our stay a delight. They were informative and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The reception staff had a good knowledge of the city and helpful in suggestions for visits. We fully recommend this hotel.
We choice Nice, FR to spend a few days at the end of a magnificent trip around a number of Mediterranean countries. Choosing the Boscolo just added to the pleasure. The rooms were sizable and solid white, making for enjoyable light. The mattresses were rather firm which I like. The hallways were a surprise as the room number is etched in the floor in front of the door with shadow lighting all along the floor. Elegant. I enjoyed walking the spiral stairs which were solid white marble. They provide a wonderful full breakfast which is included in the price. The most important item to mention is the staff. The finest and most helpful and friendly staff we have ever experienced. They were the hilight of the experience. There is one temporary issue that you need to consider. The city is building an underground Metro station that is right out their front door. The noise was not a problem as that part of the construction was down the street, but that might move toward the hotel. That construction had no impact on our experience, but you simply need to know of it. We highly recommend this wonderful, old hotel.
Hotel is in a great location. The decor was lovely and the use of the spa facilities a treat. There are road works outside at the moment but the noise didn't affect us. We had decided not to pay for the breakfast along with our room as I thought 35 euro was a little dear we would just go for it our first morning. The breakfast was fine but not great. Limited buffé of pastries and juices. The hot food was average. Our following mornings we visited local cafés for breakfast and got tastier omelettes etc for around 10 euros. I would definitely stay in this hotel again.
This is a 5 star hotel. The room, the amenities, the service. The decor were beautiful and inviting. We had a good stay with one exception. We did have a special request we had confirmed prior to our arrival it would be done. Upon checking in, we were told it was done, but when we got to the room we found out nothing was done. We ended up "lobby waiting" while our room was being fixed and we even had related issues after that.
Where can I begin - the construction noises that started at 7:00 AM outside my hotel room. I am told that construction is going to be through 2017. My room was supposed to be $649 for 3 nights but an additional charge of $100 per night for a rollaway bed that on the site said is available for rooms deluxe type and higher. They said it is clearly marked on their website - I still do not see that. When I complained about the noise they offerred me an upgrade the next time I travel to Nice. That's useless.
The Boscolo Exedra in Nice is a wonderful, relaxing hideaway! Centrally located, my husband and I were able to casually walk to every location we planned to visit and dine. The staff, especially Ariana at the front desk, was exceptional. Always putting your needs first, she made spot on suggestions for places to visit, restaurants and shops to splendidly pass the time. We enjoyed our stay and can hardly wait to return!
Stayed here for 3 nights over the weekend. Hotel is well located and easy to walk anywhere in Nice from here. Check in was easy and very helpful staff, we were also able to check in very early at no extra cost which was great. The rooms are nice enough but far too feminine - like a girls bedrooms, not really to my taste. Also the housekeeping was a bit lackadaisical consisting of making the bed and changing towels only. The spa is fabulous but ruined a little by couples thinking it’s ok to make out in the pool and on the loungers !!
Nice, clean, well located and friendly staff! Fresh new modern feel. Rooms are well setup with snacks and a Nespresso coffee. We were greeted with some champagne once we walked in. Nice touch. Would definitely book again.
A boutique hotel where you have metallic horse sculptures in the white marble lobby, a white chair in the elevator and blue mood lighting in the room hallways. The bar even had white barstools . Never saw any patrons at the bar. A white pool table was adjoining the lobby, however , they had only one cue stick to play with. Nearby construction noise was a definite problem especially when starting at 730 in the morning right outside your window. Breakfast was like the name ,break (broken) fast. However, nothing fast about it! We had to wait several minutes while our absent hostess found us a table among the many available ones. One unusual but fun oddities was the subterranean blue lit pool.Bed comfort was average. Spa prices were fairly high.Fortunately, we paid a discounted rate for our room.. The posted rate for our room was around 900 euros per night . Our rate was 185.
From the moment we came through the front doors into the beautiful and peaceful foyer, we were made to feel welcome. The men on the front door, the receptionists, the girls in the breakfast room, the various under managers, and the staff who cleaned our bedroom, all were very helpful, and all had smiling faces. This tells me that they work in a happy hotel. Just one small negative: breakfast was excellent except in one important aspect. France is famed for its bread, but the small baskets placed on each table containing three small breads, and three small patisseries, were not in our, opinion nearly good enough for the Boscolo Exedra, Nice. Most high class hotels that we have ever stayed in, at breakfast offer a “bread bar”, with different breads and patisseries, and to which guests are able to go and select their own choice. Might it be worth a try? Thank you again for a delightful four days, and we hope we will be able to make a return visit next year.
