Bathroom: Bath, Cubicle Shower, Toilet. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi provided. Initial logs for wood burner included. Travel cot and high chair available on request. Welcome pack.. Enclosed courtyard and garden with garden furniture and BBQ. Bike and equipment store. Private parking for 2/3 cars. Salmon and trout fishing by separate arrangement. Private parking for 3 cars. No smoking. Please note: The property has a natural water supply from a spring.. Gardener’s Cottage sits peacefully in the heart of the historic Bargaly Estate. As its name portrays, Gardener’s Cottage was once the home of the head gardener to this estate, owned by the famous horticulturist Andrew Heron and dates back to 1675. Newton Stewart is within a 5-mile drive and here is the gateway to the Galloway Hills which are every bit as challenging as some of their more loftier neighbours in the north.



IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Palnure Burn River is 50 yards away in the grounds, care to be taken with young children.ADDITIONAL INFORMATION - Zip and link twin beds in the 2nd bedroom can be made up to superking at time of booking. Natural water supply from a spring. Property will only accept small dogs. Salmon and trout fishing by separate arrangement.ADDITIONAL CHARGES - First basket of logs for the woodburner is free of charge, remainder at cost.

A pet friendly cottage with everything you need away from home, from cotton pads, through cheese grater, to hot water bottles! Rural, quiet and not one bit light polluted location. You can watch wildlife through the window all day and night. Got to see a pine marten and a badger raiding birds' feeders in the evening. Plenty of beautiful walks within walking distance, we had no need to use our car for 3 days we've been there. Gene and Peter are very welcoming, helpful and thoughtful. Will definitely return next time we are visiting Galloway.
