Accommodating up to 12 guests, Backcountry Lodge is conveniently located just 6 minutes from Sunday River and 11 minutes from downtown Bethel. Enter through a spacious gear room, offering ample storage for all your adventure equipment. With over 3,000 square feet of space, there's plenty of room for cooking, dining, and entertainment. Both the upper and lower living rooms boast oversized, comfortable couches, providing the perfect setting for quality time with family and friends. Enjoy a variety of games, including ping pong, a Nintendo Switch game console, and basketball.

For moments of relaxation, retreat to the mezzanine, furnished with cozy chairs and stocked with a selection of books, playing cards, and board games. The lodge features four bedrooms: a primary suite on the main floor with a king bed, two spacious bedrooms upstairs with a shared bath, and a fourth bedroom downstairs with twin over king bunk beds and an ensuite bath. All showers are equipped with rain heads and wands, with half baths on both the first and lower levels. Laundry facilities with twin washers and dryers are located on the first floor.

Outside, unwind in the large 7-person hot tub located off the lower level, or gather on the spacious deck equipped with a Weber gas grill, Solo stove, dining table, and deck chairs, offering the perfect spot to soak in the mountain views.

To enjoy your trip to this property, 4WD may be required during snowy months.

Linens / Beds / Toiletries
Linens, duvet covers, pillows, bedding, bath towels and hot tub towels are provided. All beds contain medium firmness gel memory foam mattresses. Personal toiletries such as bath soap, shampoo/conditioner, toothpaste etc are not provided.

Air Conditioning/HVAC/Water Quality
The home is equipped with three zones of central air conditioning for year round comfort. The home is also equipped with an ERV & central steam humidifier to ensure filtered and properly humidified fresh air.  Water is filtered, softened and UV sterilized with a whole home system to provide ultimate water quality.

Internet/Streaming Services/AV
All bedrooms and living rooms have large LCD TVs with streaming services including Youtube TV, Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video & HBOmax.  The 300 MB/sec  internet wifi mesh network fully covers the chalet.  Both living rooms and most bedrooms have wifi speakers.

WFV (Work from Vacation) Workspace
All bedrooms have a desk (not shown in the photos) to allow for private space to take work calls if necessary.  One 27” computer monitor with HDMI cable and laptop stand is provided.

Backup Generator
The property is protected from power outages with a whole home 22kW backup generator.

Pets
Renters may not have pets, including emotional support animals. No exceptions can be made.

Property is equipped with exterior security camera(s) that record audio and video. Camera(s) are installed primarily as a theft deterrent but may be used to verify compliance with rental policies. Security camera(s) are not continuously monitored and should not be relied on for personal safety. No cameras are placed inside, or with any view of the interior of the property.
