My daughter and I stayed in this hotel on Dec 23 so we can stroll around New York at night around Christmas time. I expect the rate of hotels would be pricey since the date is very close to Christmas. But I was able to use Orbitz bucks so that gave me a discount. This is a nice and modern hotel. Very good for the price since hotel is located along 5th Ave. where designer stores, Rockefeller Center and St. Patrick's Cathedral are located. Hotel is a block away from Empire State Bldg and Macy's Herald Square. Rooms are small but clean, linens and toiletries are of high quality and decors in the room, hallway and lobby are with modern touch. Adjacent to the lobby is Starbucks and hotel is surrounded by restaurants. Walking distance to subway station and PATH train. Would definitely use this hotel again in the future.

wish I had been able to check in before 3pm--and there was some street noise--but that's NYC!

The room was tiny, even for New York standards. There was no iron or ironing board (the staff said someone else in the hotel was using the only ironing board available, after I made clear it was unacceptable, they bought a new one for me, so now the hotel has two!) the old noisy window AC unit hung over the bed and spewed dirt and mold on top of me and the bed when it turned on so the sheets were always soiled. On the plus side, no bedbugs!

Staff were very friendly and helpful! Water was burning hot one day, then cold the next. Engineer was called in to fix it.

We have stayed at this hotel 4 times. The staff are friendly and helpful. Great location and surprisingly quiet for NYC!

My room was pretty much a bed and a bathroom and that's it. It was quite small and even the hallway was a bit claustrophobic. But I just needed somewhere to sleep for the night for work the next day so it served it purpose. The bed was very comfortable and the A/C was powerful, the price was reasonable for a last-minute booking but if you're looking to be wowed, this is not that place.

Staff was great. Room was very small but clean. Expensive for,the size but NY in the summer is expensive everywhere. Extremely convenient.

This was a nice, but very small room. All around very comfortable, right in the city.

The location was great but the room was soooooo very tiny! I am a very small person so for me to say this was small I mean it was! Also, some of my makeup was stolen from my bag during the stay!! Some brand new that I just purchased while I was there. Would be good for a quick weekend if you don't plan on spending much time in the room, like at all.

Clean, new, and small as most hotels in manhattan. Great location (almost at the foot of Empire Building), five minutes walk to k town. Nice and sweet staff. Comfortable bed. But a little pricy.

The hotel is in an absolutely perfect lcoation for everything you want to see and do in NYC. The staff are incredibly professional, courtsey and helpful. Yes, the rooms are small, but they are impeccably clean and quite comfortable. Definatly a great value for the price compared to other NYC hotels.

Very good experience. The only comment would be that the room is VERY small. I know big city rooms are small, this is small. No closet, hang your items on hooks on the wall. No bench to put your suitcase on. The plus side, it is VERY clean and there is a Starbucks on the lower level!! I would stay there again. I was by myself so the double bed was ok.

This was the second time we stayed at this hotel. Liked it both times. Good central Manhattan location to uptown or downtown. A block from Macy's and Empire State Building. On the bus routes and not far from subway entrances. Starbucks is in the lobby.

Good location, good bed, very clean. The room was very small, with little storage space, but large enough for my purposes (one person on a work visit, out all day). Not much of a lobby, but Starbucks next door can serve that purpose. One peculiarly: cord on the hair dryer was so short that I had to hold my head practically next to the wall outlet while using it.

This hotel is a little different but perfect for my purposes. Rooms are small but very clean and comfortable. No lobby to speak of but the Starbucks is almost part of the lobby, can't beat that. Great location at 35th and Park, very close to my clients office. The price was very affordable by NYC standards, I found the front desk folks to be very helpful, too. Left my watch in the room when I checked out and they found it and shipped it out to me.

We only stayed one night during a weekend trip but the staff was efficient and friendly, the room was comfortable and clean, and the location is perfect. As a light traveler I couldn't ask for more.

Happy with the accommodations and location. You'd be surprised how few places even have an ipod radio in the room. Small room....but pretty much the norm in NYC. Location and cleanliness is great.

Great hotel, friendly service! Even let me store my luggage after checkout for free, while if ran a couple of errands!

Stayed her for one night in a room with a queen size bed. The location was ideal to see any parts of the city. The room was tight and the queen bed meant it was going to be cozy snuggling for sleeping, which isn't always ideal. The bathroom, however, was nearly the size of the rest of the room and the shower was great. Including location, you get what you pay for. The staff were friendly and accomodating. I enjoyed my stay here.

Although it wasn't as luxurious as I hoped it was a very peaceful and felt like home. My first time in New York was made very convenient because of the location of the hotel I felt like I was in between a lot of nice attractions and the staff were very friendly. I will definitely consider using this hotel on my next trip to New York:)
