The location of the room is not very obvious - the host had to come out to greet us to guide us to our unit. She was very friendly and helpful, offering directions to nearby attractions and food. We drove to Jiufen and was quite worried if we'd find parking - luckily the host reserved a spot for us when we told her the day before that we will be arriving by car! The unit itself was quite clean with a nice balcony. We did find some small black specks on the bed and one of the pillows had a light stain on it - so cleaniness could be improved. Aside from that, we had a good experience here and the host was accommodating to our needs!

This is a great place in Jiufen. Nice view, next to a main street, so yes there are some stairs but considering the amount of stairs in Jiufen, this is a doable situation. There is no breakfast, just a comfortable place to stay. Views and pictures are accurate.

Nice stay

Great stay for healthy young people. I took my elderly mom with me on this trip, Jiufen is definitely not for old or unhealthy people...There was a small set of stairs to climb to get to my room no railing and uneven steps. Semi treacherous especially when its raining or late at night...a cat was on the stairs and scared me lol...mom did good and said it wasn't that bad... so no issues. I guess most of the Jiufen and B&B are like that tho since it's a hilly area and old. Other than that it's great nice big room, clean, owner allowed me to check in early. B&B was steps from the bus stop, and about a 3 minute walk to the Jiufen old street, 711, Family Mart etc. If I stayed with my gf or something would be ideal

Great, spacious room overlooking the mountains , temple. Great location!. Fantastic service, wonderful breakfast. The place is hard to find, easier would be go to the temple parking lot, and look for the lady who manages the parking lot, at parking lot the kiosk, in front of the temple. She is the one also managing the rooms. She's very helpful, and provided with full breakfast and fresh fruits. Highly recommend!

Lovely accommodation in Jiufen, conveniently located on the main street so its easy to find and to get to when carrying all the luggage but still a stone trough the Old Sreet. All the staff was very attentive and kind and the breakfast is superb!So abundant! But the best is the balcony, what a gem! My partner and I loved it!!

bed bug on the bed

not really near to the old street. if carry big luggage, need to climb quite a number of staircase. shower room was in the room but toilet bowl was located outside of the room. It make no sense for us. bed was not comfortable at all. I was bite by the bed bug, luckily my kids on another bed do not have. For me, this room rate was overpriced with this kind of standard. Will not go back again for sure.

Close to old street. But condition of the place was not that great. It was moldy, water heater was broken, and it was dirty. Not sure if it was worth the price paid. There are other much nicer ones for cheaper which we found it once we got there. They were not on hotels.com. Suggest using google or other sites if going to juifen

It's a great family owned and operated B&B. The service was warm and friendly. The view from the patio is phenomenal. It's easily accessible by bus and historic Jiufen St. is just a flight of stairs away. I recommend this for solo travelers and couples. I will definitely return.

When we arrived it was dark and foggy, the house looked dark from the outside. However once we were able to contact the owner and was ushered into the house, it was most pleasant and had a comfy feel to it. Very convenient and close to Jiufen Old Street. All amenities were provided in the room and everything was superbly clean.

Bad experience but good location

It wasn't a good experience as the owner last minute changed the room without any notification in advance. Because the room we booked has been given to others. So she offer a bigger room without window (actually have window but window cant open) and it's next to the main street which very noisy. At the end she gave us a smaller room with window, it is totally not worth the price. Also, she didn't mention about wifi. There is no reception so you have to make international call when you arrived the place (the address appear in hotel.com). However the location is convenient and have breakfast. Actually you don't need book breakfast as the place have so many street food which is much nicer. And there are so many other accommodations nearby so i wont recommend my friend to book this one.
