Great stay, wonderful and friendly hosts. Only note (and very minor note) is that the cabin is closer to their main house than it seems to be on the listing. It's a kind of detached guest house, but only a few feet from their house. That being said, they were very gracious and left us with space to enjoy a quiet cabin getaway; I saw Lois once at the beginning of the stay (she was very friendly and thorough) and then didn't see anyone else the entire time. Wonderful place and area.

This place is AWSOME!It is immaculate with everything you want, need and more! We loved everything from furniture made by Paul to pretty baskets decorated by Lois - the place just has no equals. And to top it all, hosts Lois and Paul are AWSOME too!

We enjoyed the outside kitchen and screened living room. It was quiet, peaceful, and the hummingbirds were a bonus. The inside area was comfortable, and the handmade furniture was charming. Lois greeted me and was very welcoming, showed me some of Paul’s woodwork and showed me around the cabin and grounds. It was extremely peaceful and cozy, very close to bigelow and flagstaff, and a nice fire pit out back, cool outdoor kitchen and comfy bed. I was happy and grateful.

My adult son took what ended up being a solo camping trip up to Maine and back. This was one of his spots to stay during his trip. He really liked it. Host were very kind and friendly. Place was clean and as described. It was a great base for him

Beautiful cozy cabin

Beautiful cabin in the mountains. Everything was amazing and Lois and Paul are very accommodating and lovely. Would definitely come back for a romantic getaway. Lots of games a fire pit and an outdoor shower!

Quaint hide-away relatively close to sugarloaf mountain

Great experience for us first-time Maine goers. Spent a lot of time at Sugarloaf. Cabin has 2 bunk beds and can easily fit 4 people.

Just as good as the first time

We had stayed at Lois and Paul's cabin last year and had such a nice time in the area and with their hospitality that we returned again this year. The cabin really is unbeatable in terms of amenities, cleanliness and care, and overall location and scenery. Would love to return in the future!

Fantastic stay

I stayed with Lois and Paul for four nights, and it was a fantastic experience. Their home is cozy, clean, and well-equipped with everything you could possibly need. The hosts are incredibly friendly and accommodating. The location is perfect—peaceful and surrounded by nature, offering the quietest environment you can imagine. At the same time, it’s quite convenient, with just a 40-minute drive to Sugarloaf Mountain and about 20 minutes to nearby restaurants and grocery stores. I will definitely be returning!
