Ainsley was a great host, she communicated quickly with us and gave us a late check out and all. I don’t think we knew what a shotgun house was. The house was not ideal for 2 couples neither of us had privacy & the door to get to the room with the bathroom was extremely creeky which woke us up in the middle of the night.Additionally, the bathtub did not feel very clean to me - there was a fabric mat on the floor of the tub which holds dirt and mold, i didn’t want to put my feet on it so i lifted it and there were stains all over the tub floor.The oil to cook with smelled like it had already been used and poured back in - i didn’t even want to use it. The outside of the oil container was super dusty and old too, just did not feel clean. There was a lot of noise outside, the neighbors to the right of the house kept driving big trucks in & out which woke us, blaring music. They park the car right near the window where one of the beds are located which was not ideal for us. There was also a dog barking incessantly in the backyard which would wake us often, it would be hours that it would be barking. And the house is located between what feel like 2 freeways, lots of noise pollution. And it’s not close to the french quarter unless you take an uber.Most of these things are out of Ainsley’s control and I found her to be a great host and the rest of the house was very clean and had good amenities for the most part, but the other components impacted our stay tremendously.
