Décor, location, service was outstanding. Highly impressed and definitely will be staying here frequently! Awesome hotel in New Delhi with great connectivity in traveling. Whether you are in India for business purpose or want to be alone, the claridges is a perfect place to stay as it provides close proximity to everything. Guests loved the central location of this hotel, which gives easy sightseeing options in the city. Downtown is just a stop away by Metro (which is at a walking distance)
Had a good time with family. Enjoyed my stay. Nice room and staff. Would love to visit the property again sometime soon. Thanks for the hospitality that was exhibited by the entire team. Good Dining options as well.
You will love the hotel if you like tranquil surroundings. Away from noisy bustling market areas, the hotel is situated close to the embassy enclaves and is not too far from some upmarket shopping . The airport is not too far either which is a boon. The rooms are adequately large and the basic amenities are good. It is a calm oasis and city traffic noises will not ruin your sleep. The staff are very helpful and friendly right from fulfilling the room requirements to arranging the local taxi to get around in. The breakfast buffet has not only the usual made to order eggs but also made to order parathas , waffles etc. The only sore point was that my room had no view so I would suggest that one should insist on a room with a view. The first room they gave me overlooked the hotel car park and the room I finally stayed in was on the 3rd floor but had just 4 flowerpots enclosed in a huge wooden crate outside my window. For such a beautiful hotel this was a severe let down .
This is a lovely, clean hotel with a very relaxing atmosphere in the centre of Delhi. Food very good and service from every member of staff was excellent - very kind, attentive and helpful. The head concierge was very helpful in arranging tours and trip to Agra - thank you. The true star for us was our personal chauffeur Bhagat (Singh) - he is a very lovely man who was a true professional and gave us impeccable service for 6 full days in Delhi and a trip to Agra, nothing was too much trouble for him and he is a credit to The Claridges - if I return to Delhi I would stay at this hotel again for many reasons but the main one to see Bhagat again! Thank you for a great stay.
Stayed a weekend there. loved the larger than normal rooms, the excellent service and the superb ambiance. The range of restaurants is amazing and they are all reasonably priced by five star standards. No wonder it is almost always fully occupied.
Recently i stayed in this hotel with family and enjoyed fully. All staff members were very helpful. we stayed in room 204 for two days and checked out on 8th June. Food was also very good in their "dhaba" restaurant. My daughter asked for her favorite dish which was not in menu but their staff member managed to provide it. I loved my stay in this hotel.
The Hotel is beautifully clean and a perfect retreat from the heat of Delhi. Al the staff are very helpful. The restaurant is wonderful we ate in the general one and the Indian. The pool looked inviting although we did not use it.
After a long and tiring journey from the Central Himalayas it was pure heaven to be collected from a heaving Old Delhi train station by the Claridges Chauffeur and taken to the serenely beautiful Claridges Hotel. The hotel is situated in an ideal location in central Delhi and the building and grounds have all the charm and ambience of a Heritage Hotel. The only minor negatives were :: Welcome drink was not offered and some of the reception staff are reserved and not particularly communicative, which is unusual in such a high rated hotel. Our overall experience was really positive, and we enjoyed our stay. We had a club room and the car transfers were excellent along with the drinks and service especially from Narender at the Aura Bar. We will most certainly be booking again for our next stay in Delhi.
We did our Business Meet in the Viceregal Hall at the Claridges. The hall had a pleasant ambience with convenient seating space as well as audio-visual facilities. We had to pay extra for high-speed internet though. The business lunch for our visitors was good, though the dining space was a bit crowded for a hotel of this luxury.
The Claridges Hotel is one of the oldest, elegant and prominent hotels of New Delhi. It is located on Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Road ( earlier Aurangjeb Road) which is quite near the throne. Most of the foreign countries embassies, their ambassadors' residences and ministerial bunglows are located near this hotel. The place where father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi was assassinated is nearby which is known as Tees January Marg. There was a time when the Claridges was known as 'The Hotel' of the city, but it is no more.People are nice more or less but basic services are deteriorating day in and day out.If you check in there is no welcome drink which is used to be must in any five star hotel. In your room fruit basket and many more basic facilities are usually missing. Eating rooms are small, the reason being regular guests find more solace and facilities in the upcoming new hotels. If you become a member which is known as 'Dining at the Claridges' there is no guarantee that whatever you promised while enrolling the membership you will get the same facilities afterwards. For example you are told that facilities of massage is available for an hour but in reality you get for 30 minutes only. For that too one has to wait for a month or so.Another misgiving is the bar that opens at 6pm but beer and wine is available in the restaurants. The most popular 'Garden Tea'has lost its shine. However I was lucky enough to find two young chaps Harshad and Rajat in Pickwicks restaurant who were very polite,Courteous and helpful to cater our needs. However one finds old grace in some parts of the areas that is why oldies still prefer staying and eating in dhaba, Jade and Pickwicks restaurants. Some attitudnal changes are required to atune to this competitive industry. Hopefully the management is looking into it. Good Wishes. Trilok Deep
