Nice hotel with good service and facilities. Breakfast was very good with lots of variety to choose from. The pool was lovely and clean - the gym could have had more weights for women training though. Close to the beach and bus to the city center.
Loved the 1 bedroom unit with full sized kitchen and laundry. Terrific location in Anse Vata with patisserie nearby, cafes, bars, convenience store and tourism facilities. Our room was beach facing with a wonderful, large deck. The apartment was very spacious and nicely kitted out. Also has three bus services available close by. Highly recommended! :-)
Rooms were great but using two king single beds to make a king size bed was awful they kept coming apart. Plus window in bedroom had a seal issues as when wind blowed it made a terrible whistling sound so sleep was interrupted
My husband and I went to the Hilton La Promenade for a long weekend. This was my first trip overseas, so was a little apprehensive. Wow what a fantastic place to stay. The staff were very helpful, and didn't seem to mind that we only knew very basic French. The apartment was huge and had great views and was very clean and tidy. The cleaning staff were the same, so nice and helpful. I would definitely stay here again. The only thing that wasn't good was the instructions for the washing machine/dryer combo. Need to have clearer instructions, or come home with wet clothes.
we stayed 7 nights at Hilton for our vacation and had a lot of wonderful experiences ,great customer services , our room with a great view and the hotel in a really good location quite easy to access to anywhere,we will definitely go back and stay again in future.
My daughter and I spent a week here and loved it. The hotel apartment is so spacious with balconies off the living area and the main bedroom. Sure, the decor might have been a little dated, but the location, the view and the space made up for it. Would we stay again - definitely. The location is wonderful, just across the road from the beach, but right in the middle of the action in Anse Vata, with numerous good restaurants within a 5 minute walk. The kitchen was great as well, although we didn't cook. We did have breakfast in the apartment and often availed ourselves of the french bread and pastries from the bakery on the promenade level. The local cheeses were great and of course the wine superb We ate in the restaurant on Prawn Night. This was very good value for money. The only negative was the fact that the pool didn't get any sun, but we were able to lie in the sun beside the neighbouring hotel pool - a 5 minute walk away.
This hotel is set up in 3 blocks and while the lobby and general facilities in block B seem to be fine we were in block A where the lobby was dark and musty and so was the room. On the plus side the room was very spacious and well equipped and the location is very good close to several restaurants and across from the beach and ferry. On the negative side the cot provided for our 2 year old was in very bad shape - tattered and torn and resembled a Laundry basket more than a cot. The staff were adequate but not very helpful - especially for english speakers. We enjoyed our stay in New Caledonia and would return but would not stay at this hotel again.
Our one bedroom apartment (C703) provided a spectacular view of Anse Vata Bay and came with a large balcony, complete with outdoor furniture, off the lounge area and a smaller balcony off the bedroom. The apartment was very spacious, with a full kitchen, bathroom, separate toilet and very comfortable bed, a table and chairs for meals and two TVs with a few Australian channels. Reception and housekeeping staff were friendly and efficient. Free wifi was pretty good although you did have to re-log in every 24 hours or so. The pool looked good although we did not use it and there is a small gym which I did use. You get a 15% discount for lunch and dinner in the hotel restaurant. Lots of shops in the galleria at the front of the hotel and quite a lot of expensive and a few cheaper eating places within five mins walk. Also a small grocery shop within ten mins walk of the hotel if you want to do some of your own meals, Great to go walking at any time of the day along the bay.
Hotel was very good and in a great location. Included breakfast whilst no brilliant was good and more than adequate. Apartment was also good with reasonable views from the 2nd floor. Only problem was no milk provided for tea & coffee. Was advised by front desk to walk to small supermarket 5 minutes away. Would have been nice after travelling a few hours to be able to relax with a cuppa in the room without having to fine a shop. We wanted a late checkout (2pm instead of 11am) and was told this will cost 11000 pacific francs (nearly AUD $140). That to me is a huge rip off. The photo of the hotel on their web site led me to think the grass lawns in the front were part of the hotel grounds however this is a public area. The hotel do not imply this, it is just the impression I got from the photo. In saying that it is a lovely area when you can enjoy a few drinks or meals from the restaurants/cafes/bars overlooking the lawns. I included this just in case someone is looking for a nice green lawn area to lounge around all day and be waited on. Also worth noting was easy access to the beach where as some hotels (Ramada for instance) you have to navigate the back streets to get to the beach. Would I stay at the Hilton Noumea La Promenade Residences again? Definitely.
Anse Vata beach is a lovely holiday destination and the Hilton is superbly placed to be at the centre of the main shopping strip and handy to all activities. It is ideal for those wanting a quiet, relaxed location.
