We stayed in one bedroom apartment with wonderful sea view. Apartment was fully air conditioned which was very important due to high heat and humidity outside. Location was great, handy to everything. It is a pity that the swimming pool is small and there is no hot tub.
Huge rooms, friendly staff and in a perfect location. Highly recommended! So many great restaurants close by and Anse Vata beach views from your hotel room. Baie des Citrons is also a short walk. Pool is large enough but be aware it loses direct sun around 4pm (early for Noumea).
We were one of 3 couples sharing a 9th floor 3 bed apartment. We were there for a week, in early March. The position is excellent. It’s just opposite a good swimming beach, and there are a variety of nearby eateries of varying price levels (and quality). An excellent café – Malongo – is just under the apartments in the Hilton’s concourse. They roast the coffee beans on site. You can catch local buses 10, 11 and 70 from near the hotel which will take you quickly into central Noumea, and the nearby water taxi will get you to Isle aux Canards in under 10 minutes, and also to Ilot Maitre. The apartment is clean, nicely furnished and extremely well supplied with crockery, glassware etc. When we were there it was serviced daily. The staff at Reception were extremely helpful and particularly pleasant. They handled our Franglais with charm and patience. I would most certainly book an apartment there again if visiting Noumea.
What a beautiful location and excellent apartment. The hotel was clean and the receptionists were very helpful. The rooms were comfortable and very spacious. Buffet breakfast was lovely and the restaurant was a great experience.
This is a very good hotel and I would stay here again. The location is great - within easy access to a number of restaurants, cafes and bars. Good little kitchen as well as a washing machine and dryer. Very good free wifi. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bigger rooms would be perfect for families. Also had a very good selection of TV channels in English and French.
This is not a hotel per se, it's apartment, fully furnished with dishwasher, washing machine - both: soaps were provided), no dryer. It's really clean, spacious but compared to other Hiltons I've been to, looks a bit oldish. AC was a bit noisy for my liking and we got a queen bed, not King. Staff're polite, however when we arrived, they didn't have a porter in sight, so we had to do the luggage ourselves...the reception then asked after we checked in: do you need help with your bags? Location wise, close to restaurants, cafes, beach, walking distance to aquarium. There's one ATM nearby, closest supermarket is 20 mins walk away.
The hotel is in a great location with great facilities and helpful staff. I would recommend selecting a room with views of the ocean. The apartments have great facilities and I enjoyed eating breakfast on the balcony while watching the ocean.
For an excellent stay in Noumea one can not beat the Hilton , location , service , and nice people. The free and ease of parking is a real plus as is the free wi-fi. The location is absolutely tops . I have stayed at Hiltons around the world , but the Noumea Hilton is very special ./
Great sized apartment style accomodation, easy access to restaurants, general stores, beaches and transport. Staff very pleasant and willing to help. Great for Singles and groups as well as families. Free parking.
We booked this place for our Honeymoon with a nice package through Wotif including breakfast for 4 nights. We had a nice apartment on the 7th floor of C block with balconies from the bedroom and lounge. Being off-season the weather wasn't the best (and it did rain every day, almost continuously!) so we had a reasonable deal. The prices of food and accommodation in Noumea is EXPENSIVE! No complaints about the room - fully equipped kitchen, with dishwasher, washing machine, two TV's, hair drier, air conditioners in lounge and bedroom (which we didn't need given the cooler weather!), etc. We did find the water pressure so strong in the shower that it easily sprays beyond the bath and onto the floor. When turned right up the water was also scalding hot, but all these are easy to adjust to (ie don't use full pressure and about mid-way is the right temperature setting). The light switches are in peculiar places but there are switches to turn all the lights on! Free WiFi was okay but a little limited (3 devices). Because we were staying for a few days we opted for a paid option (XPF4000 for 20 GB data and unlimited no of devices and time). But for many people the free option would work. The breakfast was fine, and the swimming pool nice. There are massages offered from the health centre, and like all other things in Noumea, they are EXPENSIVE. Shops and restaurants nearby, accessible mostly under cover which was good for the poor weather we experienced. Not much in the way of takeaways, mostly sit down restaurants, and again, all the food is EXPENSIVE. The sea is directly opposite the hotel, and whilst not the best beach in Noumea it is fine to swim there and the water was very warm (February). Friendly and helpful staff at the front desk, though they weren't well stocked with brochures on activities to do. Recommend taking a short walk to the tourist centre about 200 metres south, which has more information (buses to/from town stop there - #10,11, 12 and #70 also goes past in a different direction). Overall, hard to fault but the price will be twice as expensive during normal season.
