Was told there would be a golf cart there was not. Tile in bathroom was chipping away and paint in whole house was chipping away. Could see where had a water leak at time in basement ceiling tile was water stained. Toilets didnt flush, Sink in basement would drain. House could use some updating. Couch in basement was broken.

Unfortunately this house does not reflect the photos shown on VRBO. The house is much more warn down that we could have anticipated. To start, when we arrived we checked the bedrooms, I found that one of my bed pillows had stains and crust on it, clearly had not been washed. I messaged the host immediately and sent a picture. I received no response whatsoever for the duration of our stay, I heard back once we already checked out and left the property 2 days later. The bathrooms were very disappointing. The main bathrooms sink did not drain properly, it would take quite a long time for the water to go, even from just quickly washing your hands not to mention trying to brush your teeth and not being able to rinse anything down the sink. The main bathrooms shower was just plain old, the shower head was too low and it was dirty and discolored, also terrible water pressure. The shower in the bathroom basement was oddly setup, and had a strange smell, no ventilation. The kitchen in the house is also extremely old, the cabinets seem to be original to when the house was built and had been painted. Not much kitchenware provided, for reference, there were only 2 wine glasses in the entire house. The outdoor area of the backyard where the hot tub is is just kind of messy, they could’ve at least just swept the area to make it usable. The living room furniture was very old and worn down. On the other hand, the quick access to the beach is wonderful, and the area of Grand Beach gorgeous.

Love the location. Could walk to small rocky beach. There were some cleaning and maintenance issues but Vacasa was very responsive. Well appointed kitchen. Hot tub was nice. Fire pit and grill needed to be moved out of the garage to use. The kids had the best time in their special area. They loved the bunk beds and there was a whole closet full of toys First time staying in the area. Less than 5 miles to New Buffalo beach.

Loved the location. You could walk 2 min to the private beach- rocky and sand. We also checked out some of the local public beaches that were a short drive. The house great. The basement was perfect for the kids.

We loved the location but…..
Overall we had a reasonable stay…however the lack of follow up and follow thru when we reported issues was sadly lackingThe bathroom down stairs has mildew and the bathroom water flows into the toilet somehow and bubbles up but luckily not overLittle details are not really taken care of like the grout in between the tiles in the upper bathroom is failing and popping out; the kitchen garbage bin is broken and the shower upstairs has to be forcibly pulled open for water to come thru but there is still water entering the tub that has lost its drain cover

Great Stay, Lovely Location!
The house is a little dated but had all the necessary need. The only issue we had found was a clogged bathtub on the day we checked in. That was addressed the next day when the plumber found a bottle cap in the drainer. I have also found another one in the bathroom sink. I’d say the it would be a good practice for the cleaning service to have a quick look for any water bottle caps or any other obstructing objects in drains. Other than that I’d recommend this house: its brings a great value and provides a perfect environment for a much needed break from our busy lives.

Nice.. ideally located gateway
The sunset house appropriately met the vacation plan I had - to get away from the city and do nothing in a nice quiet place. It is ideally located in a quiet neighborhood right next to a private beach. It was great to see the sunrises and sunsets on the calm lake. The house itself is well appropriated and spartan. This isn't a 'luxury' rental, but is optimally functional and well furnished with nothing wanting. The hot tub was a great addition to being able to enjoy the spring nights. I kept looking for the firepit that was not there. The home lacks mirrors ( barring the one in the main bath). But these are minor improvement suggestions - overall the home is amazing and I'd probably come back soon.

Calm and spacious
The house had plenty of space. Lots of windows abs bright light during the day. The hot tub was clean and hot and plenty of towels to go around. Over all it was a good space and could easily house a family. Each room has its own thermostat, which was nice. We came on a colder Weekend and there were not any extra blankets so that could have been helpful. There were a few things that needed to be cleaned up around the property from the winter but overall it was a good experience.

Worth the price
Minor issues which included a missing remote from one of the bedrooms, soap dispenser that fell off of the shower wall and loose bricks on the front step. Otherwise overall great property. Be aware that this property is not right on the beach like the pictures make it appear.

Perfect location
We really like this property. The proximity to the beach was amazing and we loved that there was like a designated kids area to refrigerator, lots of TVs that we could watch for the Olympics. My only caveat is that it is extremely mildewy in the lower level. Please add some more lighting around the bedrooms, and bath fans are essential!

Great last minute getaway before our kids go back to school.
We enjoyed our stay at this property. This was our first time staying in this area. We normally spend our summers in Grand Haven or Holland. This porperty had everything we were looking for and close to places we wanted to go. The neighborhood is wonderful and peaceful. The walk to the beach was easy and we had the beach to ourselves. It was nice to watch the sunset, but it was hard for our kids to swim due to all the rocks. The tub hot made up for the beach. We would definitely rent this property again.

Lovely stay for a quick getaway
A couple buddies and I stayed here to getaway from Chicago for the weekend. This location was clean and taken care of. Great location with lots to do all around, even in the cold months.
