The Neighborhood:
The closest town, Nellysford, is just two miles up the road. While small, it boasts a grocery store, pizza and ice cream shop, Italian restaurant, Mexican restaurant, wine & cheese shop, local BBQ joint, banks, and an ABC store (in case the wine/beer/cider/liquor at the local places doesn't suit your taste).
Getting Around:
Nellysford is only two miles away-- about a 45 minute walk, 15 minute bike ride, or 5 minute drive. Wintergreen Mountain Resort is also about a 20 minute drive (to the top of the mountain). Within a 15 minute drive you can access dozens of breweries, cideries, vineyards, and distilleries. There are also several fantastic local farms that have cheese, meats, ciders, eggs, and preserves. This is a fantastic place to be a tourist.

We have parking for two standard size vehicles. Oversized vehicles and trailers are not allowed.
Please understand that this is a tiny house and so things are all scaled down in size. We've setup the space so that it is as comfortable as possible given the space restrictions. We stayed at this property for 4 days and it was a great choice regarding it's proximity to all of the surrounding destinations. The location is perfect for getting around and a provided EV charger is an added bonus if you can take advantage. The area is quiet so if you want to stay in and relax like we did for part of our stay, it is a great choice as well. This was our first time staying in a tiny house, so it did take a little time to adjust to the challenges such as the tall steps and the crawling to get to the loft. The toilet took a little time to get used to, but Steve did a great job of outlining these in the description before booking as well as providing a helpful manual in the house. Finally, Steve does a great job of checking in before your stay and has a great line of communication throughout the stay which allows you to voice any concerns as needed, but at the same time gives you your space if you just want to be left alone. Overall a great stay and would stay again!

Adorable Tiny Home
It was a beautiful drive to the property, last little bit is unpaved road however no 4x4 was needed. Very close the all the wineries and breweries and a very easy drive into Charlottesville. The house is very well designed with great finishes. Stairs are steep and upper level is very open, would not recommend for small children or someone who has difficulty climbing or crawling. The property is wooded and serene, I absolutely recommend!

Cute and conveniently located tiny home!
We really enjoyed staying at this tiny home for our mini spring break trip. The check-in process was easy using the lock box and the home itself is exactly as expected. For being so small, we were surprised by the amount of features the home fits in. The downstairs is spacious and even has a kitehen table to eat at. When you go to the upper level, you basically need to crawl to the bed or living room, but they are both very well laid out and spacious once you're up. The area around the property is gorgeous and it was conveniently located near all of the breweries and winteries we wanted to go to, along with hiking (highly recommend checking out the Blue Ridge Tunnel). Thanks for a great stay!

Peace and Tranquility
This tiny house is so relaxing and beautiful. The walk to the lake is a very easy short distance. Everything is exactly as listed. There are plenty of snacks available and the bed was super comfortable. The towels and linens were fresh and crisp. The host Steve is extremely helpful and very easy to communicate with. We were sad the hot tub was not available; however, we were so busy it was all good. We did visit the Hill Top Berry Winery and several others which were all lovely. We hope to stay again!

Perfect for visiting nearby family!
My brother and sister-in-law recently moved to Winter Green - the lower part and I wanted to be very nearby. This tiny house was only a 10 minute drive away and had everything a single person needed including a good shower. I sent photos to my whole family because I was so impressed with all the luxury, even hooks and shelves in all the right places built into such a small space. I regret not having time to take a walk to the lake and use the hot tub. The only "heads up" I would give folks of a certain age - like me is that the ladder-type stairs up to the bed were steep and I had to get down on my bum to go down because you can't stand up in the bed loft space. Loved this place and highly recommend!!

The Tiny House was Amazing...
Our first experience staying in a tiny home. However, this tiny house has spoiled us! Well appointed, with several well above average amenities. We were seeking a peaceful location to put the stressful work days behind us. The house was just what we needed. Highly recommend the listing which offered great hosts who communicated appropriately to insure we were well informed; provided details for easy arrival and departure. Check out the country tiny house! You won't be disappointed?

Great for a quick getaway
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. The place was very comfortable and well-designed, everything new and good quality. Would be tight with more than one kid, but you could fit one easily. Location was tucked away but also centrally located between afton and wintergreen. Stephen was a great host, very responsive and gave good suggestions for what to see, where to eat, etc. I’d highly recommend this place if you’re looking to get away for a couple days.

Great Experience
Me and my wife looked through so many tiny homes but this one stood out to us the most. Soon as we walked into the house, we were amazed how much space we actually had to walk around. Everything was very clean and the owners were quick to respond to our messages. There was plenty to do in the area as well. If you're second guessing on staying....trust me, I highly recommend you stay in this tiny house.

Tiny house in the mountains
This property was close to wintergreen and ton many breweries and wineries on 151 in Nelson county. It was our first stay in a tiny house and we couldn't have been more pleased with the layout. It fits 2 people comfortably.
