Whanau and Friends Easter break
Stayed here before, four families combining for an Easter packed weekend. The kitchen dining space held us all at a friendly squeeze and we were able to get 20 mouths well fed with the two cookers and fridges there. Great base to get out up the mountain and we also bashed out down the Fishers track which is 500m from the door.

Family holiday
How I wish there are heat pumps installed at the property. The oil heaters are not fast to warm rooms. Kitchen is nice but the couches in the living room are dusty. Underneath of the mattresses are dusty as well. Rob was helpful for the information we need. Overall we still enjoy our days there.

Tongariro Crossing Weekend
This is a cool place to stay. Me and 23 friends spent the weekend here whilst we did the Tongariro Crossing. The location of the lodge was perfect and it did a great job of housing us all. The layout of the lodge is nice. Rooms are well sized and a the lounge has space to socialise, with a well sized kitchen on a mezzanine floor. Fireplace kept the lounge area warm and each room had a heater. On our last night, we walked down the road to the local bar / restaurant. Great communication from the host and instructions for everything were very clear.

As described, this is an Adventure Lodge. Not 5 star but nice and comfortable
We used the lodge as an overflow for our guests who were staying in our ski lodge next door so we didn't use the cooking facilities, just a place to sleep and showers etc. Upon opening up it was a bit musty smelling but probably because it hadn't been used for a while. The guests said it was warm and comfy. Opening instructions say the water shut of is indicated outside but it isn't so took a little bit to find that.
