My partner and I stayed at the InterContinental in the second week of Spring and really enjoyed our stay. Our room was very clean and serviced daily. All of the staff were very welcoming, friendly and made an effort to help us wherever they could (That I suppose is partly the Fijian way of life). Although the weather wasn’t particularly nice for half of the week, we still found ourselves lounging by the pool or beachside during the day most days. The resort had it’s own convenience store which was great to purchase some snacks when we were peckish. Local tours and activities all proved to be worthwhile. Snorkelling was AMAZING, and the local market trip a great insight to local Fijian life! I suppose if you like golf then that would take up a couple of days of your trip too. We didn’t bother with other external trips operated by Rosie Tours as most of them were around 1-2 hours from the hotel. Being honest, we were a little disappointed with the dining experience. Food and beverages are overpriced for what you get. One crazily expensive restaurant my girlfriend and I avoided meant there was only two places to eat each night. The Pool Side restaurant had pretty average food with slow service and the main restaurant has an expensive a la carte or buffet option, both of which were average for the price. Neither of us though it was five-star quality. At times we felt as though other holiday-makers were sitting on top of us. It was always quite busy and overcrowded wherever we went. We didn’t mind having small children around, but breakfast between 7:30-9:30 is a complete screaming-fest (which was okay in the end because we ate at 9:30-10am most days). All up it was a pleasant and relaxing stay. If you are looking for a nice destination on the coral coast then definitely consider here! Personally, we would probably look at staying somewhere more ‘couple orientated’ in the future, but still recommend the InterContinental Fiji.

My husband and I stayed at The Intercontinental resort for 6 nights to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary . From the moment we arrived the welcome that we received was exceptional and genuine and as IHG members we were made to feel like valued and loyal customers. In celebration of our anniversary we were upgraded to a luxurious and spacious 1 bedroom Lagoon suite and were given complementary drink vouchers. We were genuinely so thankful for these unexpected kind and thoughtful gestures which made our stay so memorable. Our check-in to our room was delayed due to room preparation and my husband and I happily waited in the pool area enjoying the beautiful views of the ocean. On several occasions kind and concerned staff stopped to check that we were being looked after and kept us updated on the progress of our room. During our wait another kind gesture was shown by bar staff who offered us complimentary cocktails during our wait. Each morning we ate breakfast at the adults restaurant Navo. This restaurant is located at one end of the resort and offers a quiet, peaceful environment with spectacular views to the ocean in which one can enjoy an intimate breakfast. The service at this restaurant was exceptional and each morning we were warmly greeted , welcomed and thanked. We ate at all the restaurants at the hotel and purchased drinks daily from the pool bar and found all the staff to be professional ,friendly and helpful. On our final night dinner was eaten at Navo restaurant. I cannot praise this restaurant highly enough. We ate grilled King Salmon and shared a bottle of wine and a trio of gelato for dessert .Every mouthful of our food was delicious and the care and attention that we received from staff was outstanding . The highlight of the night was a special farewell song which was sung to us by all Navo staff . The singing was quite beautiful and genuinely had an emotional effect on us , it will be something we will remember always. This hotel is a well oiled machine and we consistently received personal , attentive , friendly and pro active service from staff who are genuinely concerned about their guests . On several occasions a male staff member actively sort out my husband , referred to him by name and inquired if there was anything he could do to assist us to make our stay more enjoyable. Lots of special touches made our stay at this luxurious hotel so memorable , a box of chocolates, a happy anniversary message carefully cut out of leaves and left on our bed, beautiful messages and patterns made out of shell necklaces that were left on the bed, warm and generous smiles and the many many calls of bulla to us from every corner of the resort. Our stay at the Intercontinental was perfect and I can’t think of a better place to have celebrated our anniversary, We both looking forward to returning with our family. Vinaka.

Beautiful, beautiful room (pay a little extra for lagoon view - gorgeous). Wonderful staff, great food, fantastic facilities... We can’t wait to come back next year! The scalp massage at the stunning spa was fantastic. Now it is a little on the pricey side but you get to use the steam room and spa etc beforehand which makes it a wonderful couple of hours. Highly recommended!! 🌴☀️💕

We stayed for four nights in a 1brm club suite which was just fabulous, it was spacious, private, had its own private plunge pool and had everything we would need. Right from arrival we were impressed with the friendliness, professionalism and helpful nature of the staff. This continued throughout our stay with every interaction, with every single member of staff. We truly felt like one of the family. The extras that came with the Club rooms were well worth it, free WIFI throughout the resort, breakfast, a sublime afternoon tea and canapés and cocktails of an evening. A relaxed lounge with fabulous views across the bay with staff second to none. We ate at Navo one night and the meal and atmosphere were both fabulous. We were also made to feel incredibly special with a beautiful chorus of singing for our wedding anniversary. Other than that we were always full from the incredible buffet breakfast at Sanasana and afternoon tea at the club so didn’t find the need to eat elsewhere. The grounds of the resort are beautiful and make for easy walking, and if you don’t want to then there is the Bula Bus or a golf cart to hail and you will be dropped wherever. Resorts as large as this can make you feel as if you don’t exist; nameless and faceless however this is not the case with Intercontinental we always felt as if we were part of a family. The Intercontinental operates like a well oiled machine but a machine with a heart. We loved our stay and will return.

Overall experience not bad, shuttle and taxi scheduled by hotel were right on time and drove safe and fast to our destination. Hotel staff are super friendly. Beach has good waves, but only surfable around high tide, you can rent surfboard from hotel but they only rent them out during high tide for safety purpose. The only downside is the restaurants, expensive and not good, we had a breakfast buffet in navo, no much to choose and fruit is not fresh, we also tried the other 2 restaurant, both of them are just so so, but bad for the price. 4 stars for anything else other than the restaurants.

Fabulous location on a white surf beach Great adults only infinity pool on the beachfront Superb apartments, although can be noisy Expensive food Must get the Breakfast inclusion otherwise it’s $70 ea Dinner expensive, $100 each steak meal and although the service was attentive, they forgot the vegetables which came after the steak was eaten...in their finest restaurant. We left a hat in the finest restaurant and it didn’t get returned..although it apparently made it to lost property but from there it disappeared...

Fantastic resort , great for kids , food is excellent and the resort itself is beautiful and emasculate. Highly recommended . We stayed for 10 nights and didn’t leave the resort . Totally relaxing and the staff are amazing with kids . Will return

We decided to break up our Fiji Denarau holiday and splash out on a few nights at the Intercontinental first. We are so thrilled we did. Located just 40 minutes from the airport, there is so much to love:- the pervading sense of luxury, spaciousness and peacefulness. We arrived mid afternoon to cloud and strong winds so it wasn't total love at first sight. Our room on the hill was magic, stunning views and the spaciousness and design affords a true sense of privacy from every room. We discovered that the wind is a daily occurrence this time of year but the resort is cleverly located so that in the resort areas, paticularly the pools, it is little more than a refreshing zephyr of breeze. The resort lies on a large sweeping cove of golden sand that is around a 45 minute return walk at low tide. Food options at the resort are expensive and a bit limited but overall the food was good although always that nagging feeling that not as great as it might be for the price. Admittedly we didn't try the more upmarket restaurant which looked amazing. The included breakfast was superb with great choices. Drink prices are also right up there so don't be afraid to bring some supplies with you if you are stretching the budget just to be there. The golf club offers better value food and drinks for lunch and the more budget resort next door offers an alternative for dinner. All that said, the resort was magnificwnt, staff could not have been more helpful. We had a small plumbing incident on our first night so were upgraded to a beachfront room, free bottle of wine etc. The staff were so apologetic and helpful. The resort is perfect for new parents with fantastic toddler pool options, safe beach etc. It would really appeal though to any age group. There is something quite magic, totally romantic about the Intercontinental that is hard to capture in a review. The sunsets are a tonic like no other. If you are looking to escape a hectic year to a peaceful pacific paradise to relax and revigour and renew your faith in all that is good, this is your place. As an added bonus, the gymnasium is very good, lots of equipment with room to open up the doors and spread out outside. We will definitely be including a few days at the Intercontinental in our future Fiji escapes

This was our third time back to the resort and our stay was fabulous. The staff were very accommodating with our room bookings, customer service and their wonderful culture. From the restaurant, house keeping, spa bookings and child care, everything was spot on and highly recommend as a winter get away and place to unwind and relax.

Absolutely wonderful resort with great facilities, relaxed atmosphere and warm friendly staff with plenty of options for families but also to have child-free time at the adult-only pool and restaurant. Make sure you have dinner one night at Navo and book a massage at the spa - both are exceptional.
