The hotel itself was fine. The rooms were modern, and very clean. The front desk, valet, bar, and housekeeping staff are wonderful. Where the hotel lost points was the restaurant, both in food and service. The service team was rude. I unfortunately had a very unpleasant experience with them. I waited by the host desk to get seated for several minutes. Many waitstaff walked by me and no one sat me. At some point, I sat myself at an empty table. Many waiters walked by me and didn’t even look my direction. I must’ve sat there for a good 15 minutes before I was able to capture the attention of someone. The waitress that I was able to flag down seemed to be very annoyed that I had seated myself and even pointed this out. I had to let her know that I did wait to be seated, but no one serviced me so I was just sat myself. I also told her that I had been seated there for a very long time and she had walked by me several times and didn’t even notice me. I think the restaurant staff has a “ noticing people” problem. As far as the food, it was horrendous. I ordered an avocado toast and somehow they managed to mess that up. I believe they put way too much lime juice in the avocado, because it was incredibly sour. Either that or there was some ingredient in the mash that had gone bad. It was utterly disgusting.
