I thought the place was very clean and the people who worked there were very nice & helpful with information.

The room was small but clean. The location was beautiful. I would stay again

Happy with our stay. Would return.

The Cottage was very small and claustrophobic - the ceiling was barely 8 feet and we had to turn sideways to get past one another in the room - and we had no ocean view.

Great location but was expecting it to be a bit cleaner for the price. Dust in corners of floor and mold in air conditioner venting. Shampoo, shower soap and toilet paper were not stocked. Tried calling the office to get it re-stocked but phones were not answered. Glass shower door was not level so it opens when you shower and water gets all over the floor, constantly having a wet floor in the bathroom with beach sand was annoying.

Pictures are deceiving. Ground floor rooms can barely view the ocean.

My stay was as the weather was beginning to cool down, so I did not take advantage of the beach and several local businesses had already closed for the season--so the primary benefit I enjoyed from the location was simply being able to see and hear the water from my room, which was wonderful. I lucked out--my room (two queen beds, upstairs in secondary building) had a great view of the bay. Many other rooms on this level sat behind the main building, and I would assume their view would be largely obstructed ( Rooms #23 and #24 are on the end--try for those!) Annex rooms appear to be in a small building built in a space between the main building and the two-story secondary building, and offer no view of anything but the parking lot. The main building--the original Victorian inn--likely offers the best views, and also contains the lobby and on-site restaurant and bar. Service was wonderful, food was decent. Was able to eat outside on front porch. Smoking policy was not enforced; there were several smokers near where I ate. Due to weather, I ended up extending my stay by one day; the staff helped arrange it so I did not need to switch rooms. My room looked exactly as portrayed in photos (two white covered queen beds with surfboard above) and was crisp, clean, and upbeat. Private balcony (separated from neighboring rooms with divider). A little pricey to me, but very happy with room and inn!

Location was good, staff was not helpful and room was dirty.

staff was great, very friendly, cozy room, clean, organized and had a really comfortable look and feel to it. accurate photos on their site

Right from the moment we arrived we felt VERY welcomed! The room was just great and you could see the attention to detail and how clean it was. All of our needs were met and we look forward to being guests again in the near future!

Our room was adorable. It was retro in design and boutique-like. Everything was immaculate. The reason why I gave it 4 stars vs. 5 is that the air conditioner was very difficult to control and keep set in a cool position. I woke up very warm in the middle of the night and by the morning, the air conditioning kicked on and the temperature was nice and cool. That was a little frustrating, but otherwise...I enjoyed my stay there.

I was very excited to find an Inn right with "Beachfront Views" and rooms with double beds. I knew it would be a little drive from Newport (where we were headed), but thought it would be a perfect getaway. I obviously didn't do my homework well enough. When we arrived it is Motel, not an Inn. The room was stuffy and lacking any decor. We turned the fan from the AC on to try and air it out and it sounded like it was going to fall out of the wall. The beds only had sheets and no blankets. It was not "beachfront" there was a parking lot, building and major road and wall between our room and the beach. The beds were comfortable, thankfully. Upon waking in the morning we noticed there was no hairdryer and the shower was SO SMALL. You could not re-position the shower head and it sprayed directly into your face. There was hot water eventually. Also, the heater would not stay on at all. We tried to make coffee in the room and the water tank on the coffee maker was GROSS. It had dust and dirt and stains in it. If I had been prepared for a basic motel, just a place to sleep I would be ok, but this was by far a disappointing experience.

Had a wonderful experience. Room was beautiful. Bed was so comfortable. Excellent value. Loved the retaurant. Ate dinner on porch.

Hi Jon, thank you for taking the time to review our property. The cottages are not sold as an Ocean View room and the space is on the description of the room. They were renovated last year, and our guests always complement our rooms. We hope to see you back. Warm regards,

Thank you for writing. Again, we are sorry we were unable to move your room location for the length of your stay due to our other rooms being reserved. If you're in town again, please consider reserving in our Oceanside Building, or Main Victorian house. Thanks again and have a great summer!
