Disappointing

The cottage was too far from the main building as the weather was horrendous. No light inside to read - much too dark. Impossible if you had to do work. Food and drink was overpriced. No fridge in the room. The whole experience is way over- priced ! Might be better in the summer.

Beautiful location and accommodation. Food cooked by a chef who knows how to combine flavours and textures. Suite beautiful and room to move around. A few suggestions - place to hang towels as we don’t need them laundered daily, little pots of milk for coffee/tea, a powerful reading light.

The hotel is wonderful. The suite (Thyme) was very comfortable and stylishly furnished. The staff are all very attentive and both restaurants are excellent. It is not cheap but you get what you pay for and it makes for a special stay. Highly recommended.

The Grove is in a beautiful setting and very comfortable. The staff were all delightful. When we had an issue at breakfast it was dealt with beautifully. The atmosphere was very relaxed. We ate in the Artisan Rooms and had an absolutely delicious meal. Our only problem was with the lighting in our room which was not bright enough for us, particularly for reading in bed. We will certainly be recommending it to our friends.
