It was my pleasure while staying here..feel like home...safely while we are staying here.
This is my second time here. This hotel is quite own but in a good condition. The location is central and convenient. There is a great pool but I did not use it. The breakfast and lunch is fresh and delicious (Muslim-style). The price is very affordable and reasonable. I encourage you to visit Narathiwat. Now the situation is much more secure than the past.
Narathiwat is the small town , so this hotel is the biggest one in this town. The environment and lobby is ok , at first i have a bit problem about my booking i don't know who made mistake between the hotel reservation staff or my colleges who booked for me but doesnt matter cuz it was not fully booking anyway. The first step on my floor feeling a bit scared cuz walkway to room was a bit dark and my first feeling was the room was musty but it was quite clean with the good bed. Wifi is stable and the breakfast it was ok compare to what i have paid. Overall for me is ok but i was so surprise about the color of water in this town . The ground water I think which effected to me a lot cuz i was allergic to the water and make me had Urticaria while staying in this town. Stayed October 2016
There are really only 2 hotels in Narathiwat, this is the most popular. However do to lack of tourism in the Southern Provinces, the hotels are very antiquated and with limited services and amenities. Even at $30 per night it is highly overrated, Expect low quality and your expectations with be below that.
This is probably the best hotel in town but it has seen far better days. Broken furniture. Smelly pillows. Stained fabrics and floors. The bathroom was yucky. Breakfast had some variety but forgettable. Only instant coffee. Central location.
I like the hotel very much. especially the clam and clean. Though the main hotel is a old building and the pattern is also old but it is a nice hotel, rooms are comfortable and food is also good. Not too hi-fi but enough options to pick your choices of dish. The city is developing... i liked this small city
Narathiwat has strong links to the Thai Royal Family and this hotel has long serviced the needs of their senior staff, politicians and other VIPs. The old Princess hotel was elegant and the staff superb, but the revenue and outgoings were not in balance. The property was thus sold and the new owner has pitched the hotel at a slightly lower level. As a result, many fixtures and fittings are now a little threadbare and the staff are no longer so plentiful or so immaculately dressed. However, the Imperial is still far and away the best hotel in Narathiwat, and excellent value for the price (as little as Baht 1,000 or $35).
The Imperial is in Narathiwat which is a city rocked by years of violent insurgency.. but if your going to southern Thailand you know all about that stuff already. The Imperial is a calm oasis in a stormy sea. The staff are friendly, polite and helpful... eager to please. The rooms are large and well equipped. Everything you could possibly want is there - including a washing line in the bathroom and detergent in a little box by the sink. There are Malaysian tv channels in english as well as the usual international and local Thai channels. There is a lovely pool, a small gym and plenty of security outside. Its hard to find hotels this good in southern Thailand.. this one and the CS Pattani are the only hotels south of Songkhla that I would recommend. The prices are VERY reasonable. If I remember rightly I only paid the equivalent of £30 per night, and its worth about 4 stars by European standards. One problem is the restaurant.. They do their best, but there aren't many Thai people who would happily eat there. But no need to worry. There is an AMAZING fish restaurant 2 minutes walk away. Leave the hotel, follow the only road out of the entertainment 'complex' outside.. cross over the big main road and right in front is a blue-fronted restaurant that is always packed with people (it was when I was there, and I was there in Ramadan!!).
Probrably the only good hotel in the place. Even if is a big starred hotel, you can have an human touch. It's easy to meet the manager, Mr Borinai Moosa, to ask something on order for breakfast and so on. I really suggest Narathiwat and this hotel!!!
