- Rooms are clean - Breakfast is typical for Italy...so do not expect too much. But it is enough as a start in the day - Hotel is very central - After dark, some shady characters hang out near the hotel. But that may happen in most parts of Napoli. - Staff helpful and friendly

it was mercury before. Nice hotel in the center of the city near the metro station.Tasty breakfast. Stylish rooms. And all you need. Stuff is very helpfull. Wifi is free at a good quality. You could easily find it if you go from the metro by sighns. I would like to stay there again

A fantastic hotel to stay at very clean and peaceful. The staff are very friendly and accommodating to your needs with most of the front desk speaking multiple languages. Tina in particular was great with her customer service being outstanding. It's central located and a short walk to the train station and some great pizzerias. They also have a great breakfast buffet with a wide rang of choices which is included in the room rate. Will definitely stay here again!!

The street is not that safe for me where the hotel is located , but very close to metro , the hotel is very strange the room was very warm or hot should i say and when called was told in the evening the ac is off so u deal with it . Breakfast was good and the community table provided in lobby was good for charging and other uses

Naples where do you start... The Ibis was typical of the Accor chain: clean, tidy with a helpful staff (we even got ice) and a good location near to the station. But what is it about this chain that only offers only ONE free welcome drink for its members, how much does a drink cost? Naples is worth a visit even if you slept on the street. The backstreets are of the song: total madness and not for the faint hearted especially if you are slow on your feet crossing either the road or pavement. Scooters are every where as are cars but the whole city experience is worth it, but its worth noting that the seafront is a good mile and a half away. Pompeii is only a 4 euro 30 minute train journey why pay 18 euro's to go on a bus! A great stay in a good hotel in a GREAT city.

I went to stay in this hotel with my family for two nights. I got my reservation done 2 months back. Strangely, on the reservation confirmation letter they DO NOT mention that the hotel SWITCH OFF their AC after 6 pm. Even at the time of check-in it was not informed. Only after doing the whole day sightseeing when we came back and wanted to relax, we realized that the air conditioning was not happening. On approaching front office, we were told that it is their GM's order that AC will be switched off from 6 pm to 6 am. On questioning them we were told that the weather outside is good and we do not require AC...how ridiculous this was,who are they to tell us whether we require AC or not. We were given the backside room, which was in front the railway track, when we tried opening the balcony, we just could not close our eyes because of the noise of the trains. Our whole stay in the beautiful city of Napoli was SPOILT by this hotel. Will never ever stay here again. Only positive is the location, close to the station and its ever smiling staff.

We stayed 4 nights and were very happy with our state. Good price, clean, safe and comfortable room, excellent buffet breakfast with great coffee and both healthy and indulgent options. The staff reception staff were young, very friendly, professional and welcoming. The hotel location is just 2 or 3 minutes walk from Garbaldi central station, which was convenient for us for transferring from the airport and doing day trips to Pompeii, Vesuvius and it was a 25 minute walk to the marina to catch the ferry to the islands. We walked everywhere. The Garibaldi piazza area is a bit dodgy but you can easily find a few decent places to eat and walk to nicer areas for shopping and dining out too. The wifi was fast and reliable. Would definitely recommend this hotel and/or stay there again.

The hotel was very close to the main train station, although that also meant that it was in a pretty bad part of the town with very little shopping and eating places available. The rooms were average size and both of our rooms were clean and the AC worked well. We also didn't hear outside noise or our neighbors. The breakfast area was large and the service was good. The bad part included the elevator not working for 1+ days, housekeeping only giving us 2 plastic cups for our 3-night stay, and at checkout our front desk guy was trying to do too many things at once. If I had to it again, I would not stay in Naples, but it did work well for us as we did 2 day tour trips to Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast and Capri.

Don't usually bother doing reviews but read a few negative posts about this hotel so wanted to give my own opinion. We got to the hotel 3 hours before check in so had planned to leave our bags and come back but a big plus we were allowed to check in straight away. True there are homeless people in the piazza garibaldi and surrounding area but I had not a single instance where I was even approached let alone intimidated by anyone and we got around town a lot. The hotel was very pleasant spotlessly clean bedrooms and bathrooms a nice size. Our room directly overlooked the Circumvesuviana station and though trains did pass (though not during the night) from about 6 am it didn't really bother us. Breakfast is buffet with cereals, fruit , yoghurts, toast, nice pastries, bread and cheese. No eggs at all ? A boiled one would have been nice ! Air conditioning worked fine when we were there and I never saw a single mozzy ! Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stop again. Stayed 5 nights May 28 to June 2 2017

Typical ibis hotel with large sized room. Bed and pillow were not the best for comfort and bathroom could do with an update, but everything was clean. Air conditioning was poor, meaning the housekeeping staff would leave the windows wide open all day. I found this annoying and dangerous as there are no fly wire protection - first time I almost fell out the window as I was unaware it was open and during the day. the room would fill with mosquitoes. Breakfast was decent, traditional continental fare but with eggs. Location is both hit and miss. Positives are very close to Napoli Centrale and the Garibaldi metro. Also several nice eateries and coffee places within short walk. Negative is that the area is home to many homeless and refugees which can be intimidating to some. I am not easily put off but I did not feel 100% to walk around solo particularly at night. Also rooms on the train side are rather loud and while the trains only run between ~6am to ~10pm, it is difficult to sleep during this period not only due to the noise but that the whole room (and contents) shakes on a trains passing. Overall a below average hotel in an average city. I recommend using Napoli as a gateway to the other surrounding areas (Amalfi etc) and if not you can easily see the sights in one day - for which this hotel is bearable.
