Literally two minutes' walk from Naples Central Station, this clean hotel is a good bargain: rooms are essential, but tidy and neat, with spacious bathrooms. Breakfast is quite rich and tasty, with nicely baked pastries, juices, yogurts and beverages. Staff is helpful and polite, with a good knowledge of local attractions and ready to help for trains, ferries or taxi. Totally worthy.
I'm afraid I did not prepare as much as I should before arriving at this hotel, because I did not print a map and ended up paying a 10 euro taxi fare to get to the hotel that was 2 blocks on the left of the train station from Piazza Garibaldi. the driver warned me that it was close, but since I didn't know the city I told him to take me there even though it meant one way streets and a longer ride. You can easily see the lime green Ibis sign as you look down the street. The hotel was standard Ibis Styles with comfortable beds, a reasonable size room and a breakfast included. Because I booked well ahead of time I got a very good rate. The staff was great, but I'd like to point out that Tina was exceptional in her sincerity and friendliness. You could tell she loved her job and wanted to please customers. Because we are Le club members of the Accor Hotels loyalty program, we were entitled to a welcome drink, no alcohol, but a kindness after a day of traveling. We were also entitled to an upgrade in rooms which we didn't have to ask for. The bathrooms could use updating, but because they weren't, I requested a room with a shower instead of a tub and was accommodated immediately by Francesca, another excellent staffer. When we were ready for our "welcome drink" we were told we only had the offer of one, even though there were two of us. This has been told to us on more than one occasion, so although it is not exclusive to this particular Ibis Styles. I'd like to address the issue and tell management that if the point is to make Le Club members feel welcomed, it might be to your advantage to not exclude their roommate. There is no sense of welcome in that. I rarely even use the coupon and can well afford to pay for a tea or coffee, so the point is that the 2nd person feels unwelcome and that does nothing for the hotel's reputation. Many other Ibis and Ibis Styees have offered each person in the room a free drink, to avoid that kind of slight. In summation, I liked the hotel and staff and would go there again because it was a good value and the location was excellent.
Nice & clean contemporary designed room. Comes with buffet continental breakfast. Friendly and helpful reception staffs. Located near Napoli Centrale Station and Piazza Garibaldi and metro station Stayed there for 2 nights in early November 2016. The hotel reception also recommended a very good driver guide - Mr. Francesco to bring us to Sorrento, Pompeii & around Amalfi coast area.
Only one wellcome drink (silver status) for two persons. Two towels at all for four hands, four feet, two bodies and two faces. Very good location (central station), in a bad neighbourhood (central station).
Stayed for 2 nights before boarding our cruise ship in Naples. Location is close to Napoli Garibaldi train station but would be a difficult walk with suitcases in tow due to cobblestone walkways. Breakfast was good, staff were very friendly. Room was big but water heater in the bathroom was hit-and-miss. When showering, the water turns suddenly freezing cold then boiling hot without even adjusting the knob.
Good location (close to Stazzioni Zentrali; trains, metro and bus to airport at walking distance), good accomodation, good service, good breakfast. It keeps the Ibis standards, with good cost/benefit.
Hello, We reached Ibis from Napoli station without breaking any sweat. Had to ask directions twice as it's a bit on the farther end of the lane. Took approximately 8 minutes to reach the hotel. I must mention here that the lane of the hotel appears quite deserted but the staff mentioned it's due to being Sunday and the majority of shops are closed. Still, we preferred to be indoors by 7pm. Our room was on the 3rd floor, a cosy, warm and decent sized room and a huge bathroom. No complaints with the room at all! As the title of my review states, the staff was friendly, polite and courteous. They helped us with all our requests and even suggested good eating options.Infact,on the 2nd evening, it was raining so we dined at the hotel, however we were not sure of the menu, so the receptionist actually bought out the packed food packets (no kitchen in the hotel) so that we can see, read and decide what to have. Food was tasty. The buffet breakfast was decent. Being eggetarians, we were looking for eggs but they weren't any. But they did have scrambled eggs and salads so we were fine. I would mention here that among all the restaurants in the locality, hardly anyone understands English. We had Tough time trying to order our food but were not successful. Eventually, we ate what we were served. Drinking water here is expensive than in Rome. However, there is a supermarket just next to the Napoli station which sells water at nominal price. However, DO NOT buy sparkling water, it's soda!!!!! We made that mistake. A decent hotel with great service. Wish the restaurants nearby had similar customer service skills
We arrived to the hotel before noon. The room was ready. The room was clean and pleasant. The service was excellent. Arriving to room i find out that there is a lack of a towel. Few minutes after calling the reception, we've got it. The breakfast was tasty and diverse.
It's a nice hotel with good location and good breakfast but the sleep quality was terrible. When i stay (2.11.2017) it was a sunny day and the room was very warm but the air condition on November hasn't work after 7 pm. I couldn't open the windows because of the noise from the trains pass outside the hotel.
I paid the fees when I booked the hotel in May and stayed in this hotel at end July 2017. In September, I found that they charged me Eur 200 so I contacted the hotel. They said I needed to pay the tax of EUR 15 and would refund EUR 185 to me. I asked them to refund to my credit card. They said they could not and asked for my account for a bank transfer. However, when I checked with my bank I just found EUR 175. They said probably the bank charged a commission. So, the question came. Who should be responsible for the bank commission? The blunder was made by the hotel. I complained but the hotel turned a deaf ear to my complaint. Actually, I got the same experience when I stayed in Novotel Milano Ca Granda Nord in August 2017. I trust the management of the AccorHotel Group should open wide their eyes on the matter.
