Clean and bright. Well designed and well equipped. Supply of bathroom & cooking/cleaning products was really helpful. Nice to have some books/games. Great location for sea front and town. Would happily stay here again.

Timeless Elegance in a Bach:This charming Bach was perfect for our visit to Napier. Unlike many bachs, it was well equipped with modern, fully functional kitchen (we baked dinner 2 nights out of 3). The front porch was sunny in the morning, the rear yard and deck in the afternoon. We did some laundry, using the outside drying rack. We were able to get our Netflix account to work on the TV (not a given). Beds were comfortable, main bathroom spacious, all very clean (not always a given with Bachs). We did a wine tour and a downtown walking tour while in Napier. This was a place we were happy to relax in at the end of the day. Highly recommended!

Magpie Cottage was a wonderful place to stay. Very well appointed and comfortable. My only recommendation would be regarding charging e bikes. This would be easier if power was in the wee garage. Otherwise, it was perfect.

Cool cottage with everything you need and more

Well appointed cottage with everything you need to relax and enjoy your stay. Great selection of books. Comfortable beds. Modern kitchen, living and dining areas are spacious and there is plenty of cool furniture throughout the cottage for seating. A small deck out back to relax and watch the stars. A porch to sit out front and enjoy a morning coffee. Close to the Marine Parade for walks or rides along the coastal path. Shed for storage of bikes. Also plenty of off street parking. Hosts have thought of everything to make your stay at Magpie a breeze.

Great location historic Californian bungalow

Very welcoming, recently renovated with everything we needed and more and very reasonably priced. Quiet neighbours and handy to shops and Marine Parade. Beds a bit firm for our taste but overall very much enjoyed our stay.

We had a wonderful stay at this holiday home with our family. It’s clear the owners have put so much thought and care into every detail—everything felt brand new, spotlessly clean, and beautifully decorated with great taste. The home was stocked with a fantastic selection of books, board games, and high-quality kitchen appliances, which made it feel extra welcoming and comfortable. The location is also a standout—just minutes from Marine Parade and the ocean. Highly recommended!

Napier Ice Cream, Skates and Art Deco

Fabulous home in downtown art deco Napier. Easy flat walk into town. The home was clean, super comfortable with board games and puzzles and books to read. We nearly hired some skates to skate along the boulevarde directly beside the beach! Great ice cream shop with 30 flavours. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay again. Thanks.
