Stayed here with my wife and adult son for a single night in a 2 bedroom apartment. The accommodation itself was very clean with lovely views over the river and it provided all of the facilities that were to be expected. The only problem we encountered was that of too much furniture in the rooms or rather a lack of space. Staff at reception were friendly, attentive and helpful at check in and upon departure. However, the area that did not impress was the breakfast. Once again we encountered difficulties with the furniture - the chairs seemingly unsuitable for the dining room, not aided by a poor layout. In our case three persons being seated tightly together in a corner of the room made it virtually impossible to access the buffet without disturbing adjacent diners. Although the food was of an acceptable standard the shaving dishes containing the hot items were not being removed as and when they emptied. Despite informing the waiting staff scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages were not replaced for some considerable time. Other items such as cold meats, cereals, juices etc were always available. A convenient layover for one night as it is situated about 5 minutes walk to the SNCF Gare and the coach transfer point to Nantes airport, but on this occasion let down by the breakfast arrangements.
Only stayed for one night but the room was excellent, everything you might need, comfortable bed, well equipped kitchenette and lovely bathroom with large bath towels. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast more than adequate, decent range of food and everything was fresh. Would definitely stay here again if visiting Nantes.
The hotel is right on the banks of the Loire, so a fabulous view and great for a morning walk or run along the river! It's a short walk to the bus stop and a quick trip into the city. The public transport is great and I would highly recommend getting a Nantes Pass! The room we had was quite comfortable, we stayed 6 nights and had to constantly ask for fresh towels. The breakfast (which we had prepaid) was terrible. The service was chaotic with tables not cleared and food either not there or you waited up to 30mins for things to be replenished. The front counter staff were as helpful as they could be, however they were in a number of instances inexperienced.
I was put up here for a conference and am American. This was just like those long term stay motels on American highways, except the view was excellent. I felt like I was sleeping in my kitchen. When I arrived there was a small basket with a sleeve of coffee, a bag of tea, an envelope of hot chocolate, a small container of milk (1 Tbs) and a tiny wrapped madeleine. I guess that was the starter kit and it was never replenished. My host had arranged through the hotel a basket of fruit and bottle of wine, and the fruit--a peach, apple, and banana--were literally rotting. I had to throw them out. (I left a note for housekeeping that was ignored). The toiletries in the bathroom were those all in one soap and shampoos. The kitchen was fully equipped. There was air conditioning but it only worked when the temps spiked, which they did--up to 95F--when I was there. I would say the AC kicked on in the evening for about three hours before sunset. It may be programmed that way or my unit may have been on the fritz. I doubt it was broken because it was fine when it was on. So bottom line is this is a very basic hotel with zero luxury and customer service is definitely there but thin. I paid the last night on my own and the charged me €88; it was worth much less in my opinion.
Location is great, rooms are small but good and the staff are very good. The internet is basically non existent, don't try to open an email it won't happen. Went to talk to the front desk and all they had to say is that its working , pretty useless. Water pressure is barely existent. The bar is closed on weekends. These are minor issues I admit but when your here for business and you need to email and do some work on the internet it is very frustrating. I end up tethering my phone to my laptop and using my data on my phone to do anything. It is very frustrating when an establishment sells itself as a four star but is lacking in the basic amenities you would expect. I here for a while and not sure if it is worth it. It has the potential if they would actually make the effort.
Business trip. The room was odd shaped and small but clean and had all the necessary amenities. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Location is pretty central, really is right by the river, and quiet.
It was quite hard to find. Studio right on the river for under A$100! Well appointed studio room, large screen TV and full bathroom with bath. Even a kitchenette. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were not. The window was able to be opened wide all night to keep the room cool. Fantastic buffet breakfast made this a 5/5 stay for us. 1778.
This is a modern hotel with a nice view on the river (nice for running outside) and close to the train station and at walking distance to the center of the city. Rooms are spacious and have a little kitchen and are well equipped , no minibar but there is a bar at the ground floor. Personnel is friendly . Breakfast is OK but not top for 11,5 €
Room was large, well laid out, clean. Secure bike parking but lock them. I had poor WIFI connection. DH did not have a problem. We were on the 12th floor and enjoyed great river views. Sunrises were particularly lovely. But it was a hike to the area where most of the restaurants were located.
I was in this hotel for three nights for a meeting at the nearby conference centre. The room was a single, relatively spacious with a kitchenette which was handy for making the odd hot drink. The breakfast room was quite small; as the hotel was full, this ended up with a queue at breakfast and people eating in the adjoining reception/bar area. The conference centre was a 2-3 minutes walk away, while the centre of Nantes is a good 10-12 minutes walk. The selection of nearby restaurants for dining in the evening is limited. Overall I found this hotel perfectly fine for a conference/meeting for a few days.
