the service is good, a bit slow for the bar but at the dinner and the reception, the people were friendly and very professional. it is quiet and quality of bed quite good also. a good place to stay for business
Our room was late when we arrived at 6pm. The reception did not even apologise. Our room was a privileged upgraded room, but its was nothing special except the coffee machine. The daily cleaning was late once arrived at 6.30 so we did not asked for it. anyway the room is nicely cleaned (so well done for the quality) They just do not seem to have the attention to the customers and the proper customer service. I am an accorhotels silver member, but felt nothing like it. The breakfast was a rush but mainly because there are so many business people staying here for the conference centre next. The dinner service was quite nice, I think the kitchen is very a good quality, unfortunately during our stay there was a menu and there was a rush very early for it (like a retirement rush...) and this delayed the service a lot. Its a relatively close to the city centre, and its a pity the parking is not free for the staying hotel members or at least on a special rate! I pay the same as anyone else here public parking and the parking is related to the hotel and the conference centre. Good stay to visit the city but nothing special.
I had nothing but issues with this hotel regarding service. The room was impeccable, but it does seem that there are systems in place that the hotel is incapable of managing. Every day, some times, multiple times per day, there were issues. It started with the text telling me my key was ready for me, but when I arrived, the room was not ready. When I reserved, I indicated I needed a Vegan meal, and I had an urgent need for my clothes to be pressed. Well, NO ONE knew about my dietary needs, and the "urgent pressing" could not be returned until 24 hours later. There were many others, but the one that takes the cake. I asked the front desk which SUSHI restaurant I could call to have some Sushi delivered. I was informed that I was not allowed to have food delivered because the hotel had a restaurant...a manager did come out after a while to tell me I could order sushi...was it that or when I called room service before closing and was told they could not make anything for me for dinner (dietary restrictions, remember) because it was too late and I should have called earlier...NEVER AGAIN AT THIS HOTEL!!!
I rarely have given such a poor review of a hotel. However, with this one I must. As you walk into the hotel there is a strong sewer smell that is overwhelming. It doesn't get much better either. This should be a 2 or maybe 2 1/2 star hotel. The room is spartan, yet adequate in the sense it has a toilet, shower & bed. I would suggest you only stay here if you absolutely must. Otherwise, find anywhere else. I would if I ever found myself in Nantes again.
standard Novotel hotel, in a good location with some shops nearby and within easy walking distance of the city centre, some colleagues had dinner in the hotel but were not very impressed with the food, the staff were nice/friendly, I was unable to find a better hotel to stay in in Nantes
Large hotel close to the city centre with what you expect from Novotel, room was a bit dated but everything worked. Easy access from the main road in with secure underground parking. Plenty of bars and restaurants within a 10 minute walk.
Nice hotel with helpful people. The breakfast is good and the room to take it is extremely well exposed to the sun which is just a pleasure first thing in the morning. The bed could have been better for the price my company paid.
Stayed for one night en route to the south west. Couldn't fault the service or the room. The location is great, overlooking a branch of the river and a short walk to the centre of town. Secure parking under hotel. Quiet. Breakfast was good (and included in our room rate) with hot and cold options.
We spent 1 night in this hotel. According to platinum membership - we didn't received an upgrade to hogher standard room at arrival. After seeing our room I asked for that and then we received an apartment, which was totally dirty and dusty, In bathroom, there is a melt all over the bathtube.
Travelling with a large group from work the Novotel Nantes Centre Gare was the appointed hotel. I had a standard room, which was surprisingly spacious. One thing I did not like much regarding the room was the separate small room for the WC (without a sink). The bathroom as such was also quite small. There is a safe for storing valuables available in the rooms. Free WiFi. I'd be careful if you plan on having breakfast in the hotel restaurant, as I had to have 4 or 5 attempts finding e.g. a clean coffee cup. Lots of cups and plates looked as if they had just been rinsed, far less washed properly in a washing machine. There is a small bar area located close to the reception on the ground floor, however the selection in this bar was rather at a minimum. The location is arguably the best thing with this hotel, however I would most likely chose another hotel if visiting Nantes again.
