Quality in Qualicum

A nice place to stay right on the beach. Staff was great, gave us an upgrade to a King room on the top floor with a nice big balcony overlooking the bay. Clean, comfy room and bed with a nice sitting area and big windows for watching the Orcas - if you are lucky to see any (we weren’t!).

Everything was great, but what stood out most was the friendliness and kindness of the woman at the front desk! She was wonderful! Helpful, welcoming, and sincere - she was a pleasure to deal with!

Clean but rough

The building is definitely older and needs updating. Furniture is old, poor shape and beat up. Lots of fake flowers and the elevator is so disgusting with the smell of urine and smoke. I would not stay here again. The road noise was loud until it got late enough for traffic to slow down. It was clean, just unfortunate that for the price you would expect the owners to invest in upgrades rather than paper doilies and a bunch of fake flowers. It wouldn’t be that hard to have matching light bulbs, newer furniture that wasn’t from the 80’s and some upgrades.

The property had a wonderful gazebo to hang out in. So quaint! I loved that they had a special area smokers were allowed to hang out. Normally, it’s a corner of a parking lot. Definitely did not feel ostracized here.

We had a great week at the Casa Grande Inn, the room was very comfortable and clean. The view was great with a private balcony. We made good use of the kitchenette for breakfast everyday. We will stay again in the future.
