Same management. If you have to stay in Korat this is the hotel for you. Good Bellmen, good, helpful front desk operation. Duty manager and GM very helpful. Night staff needs supervision. Food operation is OK, could use western consultant. The gems of the IMPERIAL is the Chinese restaurant. If I lived in Korat I’d be there four times a week. TURN YOUR LIGHT ON AT 18:00, not when customers show up. I’d say the only weak link at the Hotel is the F&B operation. The food operation needs to be marketed better. The major problem in Korat, not the Hotel, is transportation. The cab company is out of control. This is a reflection of the municipality unable to control the cab mafia, if Thailand wants tourist, tourists need transportation. Treat your guest with respect and stop fleecing the tourist. The police need to get involved. The hotel should run shuttle service to Central plaza and Terminal 21. Thailand is screaming for tourist, note to PM Prayut, fix the mafia taxi problem, it has infested your society. Last comments, if you are visiting Korat, the IMPERIAL formerly The Duscit Princess. This is the place to stay, secure, quiet, CLEAN, good Beds, great showers, clean bathrooms. Note to management, spray for misquotes. Work on your grounds, get ride of your dead wood. Note to chef, take EXTREME burger off of menu, eggs don’t belong on burgers.
We stayed one night at this hotel which might have seen better days. The rooms are small, without balcony and the windows do not open. They have been somewhat renovated (bathrooms are nice) but the furniture is old and the overall feeling is one of stuffiness. We ate at the restaurant. The food was mediocre and some items on the menu were not available. Breakfast, on the other hand, was fine. I'll like to commend the staff. The are kind, helpful and genuinely caring. Prices are very reasonable.
Great facilities for company and customer seminar event. Only one things need to be develop is lunch place. Our seminar group used quite small room for lunch and food is quite not enough. But overall is good. Sale representative is great and kindest. Hope we will back again. Thanks.
Stay at the Dusit Princess Korat while on way to my wedding with 40 friends. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful and the preordered banquet was great. They even prepared a celebratory cake for us.
Have stayed at this hotel four times now and never been dissappointed. Staff without exception are fabulous and go out of their way to help you. The hotel has a lovely bar and restaurant the rooms are comfortable and there's a gym and swimming pool . We ate in the restaurant one evening last week and had one of the best thai red curries I've tasted !! The location is around half a mile from the new central plaza mall and there's lots of small bars and eateries within walking distance of the hotel. Taxis, Tuk Tuks and bus pick ups are available if you need to go into town which is around 2 miles away all in all a very enjoyable stay thanks to all at the hotel.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Dusit. It was clean and welcoming. When we arrived they brought fruit to our room which our children enjoyed. The staff was kind and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and there was quite the variety of items. The pool was nice but not little kid friendly. We have a 3y/o and 1y/o. There is no shallow end for little kids to play in. The restaurant was nice and convenient too. Over all the experience was very nice and we would stay here again.
Decent hotel to stay at for a night or two. Rooms are quite small for 2 persons to stay. Very cool even after switching off Air Conditioner. Lobby ambience was good. Buffet breakfast needs to add more options for vegetarian food.
Old hotel - poor food (burger inedible). My shower did not work. Water yellow Noisy neighbours Will not want to stay here again - sorry! Staff helpful but hotel just decaying - but not sure if there are any modern hotels in Korat - was told this was the best ! Staff apologetic but really should have seen that shower was broken long ago!
Spent a couple of weeks at the Dusit Princess for business. It’s a pleasant enough hotel...a bit dated and chintzy but the staff are professional and nice...breakfast is decently good and the rooms are well appointed with nice modern bathrooms. There is one very big BUT though and it should be fixed. The air conditioning is ridiculous. It is non-adjustable in the rooms. Sure, it seems you can adjust the temperature but you actually can’t. And irrespective of what the gauge says, I’d say it was set to about 18C. You can turn it off but the moment you pull the key out of the slot it defaults back on, turning your room back into an icebox in your absence...and even turned off overnight, the room never warms up. I was wearing socks to bed! In Thailand! And it must be costing the hotel a fortune to run. Also, the (non-functional) A/C Panel glows bright enough to illuminate the room at night. I had to hang things over it to darken the room. PLEASE fix the aircon. And you will halve your power bills and your carbon footprint. Also, whilst you are at it, can you please loose the God awful “60s hits played plinkity plonk style on a piano” muzak in the public areas. It’s awful and I don’t need “Puff the Magic Dragon” as an earworm. It must drive your staff insane listening to that God awful noise on repeat all day. Lose it. It’s an OH&S issue!
I recently had a short stay at the Dusit Princess Hotel, Khorat with members of my family and we were generally all pleased with the hotel. The location was good for us and all the staff were courteous, friendly and efficient especially at reception. Our room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast buffet had a varied and tasty array of food which was beautifully presented. The hotel had many extra facilities, some we used including the swimming pool which sadly was not as clean as I would have liked. That was the only negative during our stay. I was pleased with my stay at The Dusit Princess Hotel and I would stay again and recommend it.
