First step when I go into building. I can't see staff from hotel. Because robby is second floor. Should have golf cart for service from parking lot to robby floor. Thank for doorman support me when i load things from my car.
We were attracted to this hotel, supposedly one of the best in the city, because of their web site promotion of two free nights for booking six stays. After being assigned room 809, we noticed the noise level from a four-lane divided avenue was too loud. The staff was gracious in changing us to another room on the opposite end of the hall, where the air-conditioner fan was very loud. The handyman who looked at it told me it was normal wind noise, and I indicated that the other room did not have that "normal" droning sound. The assistant manager accommodated us in room 817, halfway down the hall and said the street noise would not be heard after 10 PM. Since the hotel doesn't have sound-proof windows, we heard trucks and motorcycles rev by at all hours, especially just before dawn. We relied on earplugs we received during our plane flight. All the pillows are foam and took some getting used to. Our taxi departure was delayed 20 minutes when the front desk clerk produced an erroneous bill for 13,417.74 THB for me to sign. I showed her my email reservation confirmation which indicated "Total Amount: THB 8,945.20," a large 4,345.88 difference. Refusing to accept her mistake, the clerk said the difference was due to taxes. I again pointed to my confirmation receipt that said "Total Taxes: THB 1,345.20" as being included in the bill. I loudly responded: "I am not paying anymore that the reservation price of 8,945.20 THB." A manager came out of a back room, I showed her the printed reservation conformation, and she took the clerk in the back with her. The problem was later settled with profuse apologies, which didn't mediate my delayed departure of 20 minutes. As I walked out to the taxi, the clerk was running after me repeatedly apologizing, to which I responded, "I am not happy." However, I did give a generous tip to the two doormen who loaded our luggage in the taxi.
We stayed at the princess enroute back to Bangkok from a trip around Isaan. The hotel looked like the nicest in the area I could see. Staff were friendly, most speak English and the breakfast was a buffet which was very good. The most enjoyable was their pool because it was a hot April day on the afternoon we arrived.
This hotel ticks all the boxes. Room was clean and comfortable, spacious with appropriate amenities. Wifi was ok. Staff were great. Breakfast was also good, but can become crowded especially at weekends with functions. The hotel appears central but it's not. It's quite a distance from central and T21, definitely not walking distance.
Great staff for all function, Great breakfast line we are really enjoy the breakfast. Old but well maintenance, clean room, big bed. It's as suitably as to be Dusit group standard. Definitely worth the price.
We booked The Dusit Princess as a last-minute option for a three day family getaway and I reckon it was a good choice overall. Location : Perfect for us as it is near the centre of Korat (5 minute drive), next door to the local market and a really nice terraced eating / drinking area where all kinds of food is available (all pretty good and excellent value). Room : Standard deluxe was a reasonable size (not huge) but well good enough. Bed was very comfy and big enough for us and our squirming 2.5 year-old daughter. Bathroom : Great shower, very powerful and water is clean. Minor (MINOR) gripe is that the bathroom doesn't have a floor drain (essential when washing aforementioned daughter). Room servicing : Excellent - be sure to leave a tip for the hardworking staff at the end of your stay if you also get good service. Breakfast : About average and a little pricey, but aren't they always. No complaints at all from us, although it would be great to see some Thai dishes too. Pool : Big, clean and warm (chlorinated but well balanced). WiFi : Free! and works well in all locations that we tried. Summary : A great value hotel in Korat especially if you are on a budget. Staff are warm, smiling, very efficient and friendly; overall service was very good. Taking everything into account including room price and location I would say that this was an excellent choice for us. We would happily stay here again.
I stayed here for three weeks during business. The room was a little dated, but better than some other places I have been in Thailand. The front desk and house keeping were all great. The restaurants are great with a lot of selections. Prices for rooms and food were good as well. The tuk tuk is right there for local trips. A 7-11, grocery store and pharmacy are within a 5 minute walk. About a ten minute trip to Terminal 21, the large very nice local mall.
Front office experience was exceptional good..more needed to be done to rooms refurbishment and the walkway to the rooms are not well lighted. Mattresses needs to be changed for some rooms. Food variety need to be changed or rotated from time to time.
Excellent as usual, absolutely love this place when I'm in Korat, take no notice of the negative reviews, the breakfast alone gets it into number 1 spot. The staff are fantastic, professional, polite, understanding. Fantastic hotel, love it to bits.
Great hotel for business and family. Very clean room and overall, peaceful and nice, wonderful and friendly staff. Close to NBK night market. You can take Tuk-Tuk to The Mall and Terminal 21 and local Klang Villa, KFC and White Rabbit
