This hotel was fantastic. The room was clean and every member of the staff that we encountered were friendly and courteous. The breakfast was fresh and hot and the extra amenities such as the popcorn all day and cookies in the evening were a welcome touch.

My friends and I have been heading to the Surf Side Hotel for years. It is a nice hotel to stay in, is close to tourist sites and good dining, and has easy access to the beach. Staff are lovely. The only minor complaint has been that the old girl is starting to look well...worn. However, she is closing from Jan-Mar 2026 for a bit of a facelift, and we are excited to see her when she reopens.

We met our kids here for a three day vacation. We stayed in the Ocean Front corner unit and the view and sounds of the ocean were fabulous. Nice size room with a fridge, coffee maker and microwave. The only thing i was not thrilled about was the shampoo and conditioner. I just did not like the smell of it. Other then that everything else was perfect. I would certainly stay here again.

I've been traveling to the outer Banks for 40 years, and I can honestly say that this is the best hotel down there. Great staff great location and a very good breakfast buffet cooked by an incredibly sweet lady. Needless to say my wife, and I loved it and we will come again.
