We Love the Seahorse Cottage!! This was our second visit to OBX and our second stay here. We had the same cottage as last year and it was great! It has everything you need and is very comfortable. The staff are friendly & helpful. Walking distance to the pier & beach , Cahoons market, restaurants, etc. Thank you again Seahorse staff!

It wasn’t very comfortable, I would have preferred a table and chairs vs a vinyl love seat. The room was fairly clean, but very old. Location was good. VERY noisy, especially the air conditioner. For the price we paid it was okay. Not sure we’d stay there again. Location was good

So much convenience! The market across the street has everything you need! From food too fishing and more. If they don't have it, you didn't need it. Jennette's Pier across the street, Sams and Omie's next door and Fatboyz Ice cream next door as well. Short drive to a must try food spot Fish heads! Location can't get about better. The water view we had in the classic room with a 180 view. So relaxing to wake up to. The staff here were very accommodating. Would stay here again!!

Worth a try

This hotel is old and has some obvious maintenance issues. The cleaning staff has allot of pride in their work and they do an amazing job with what they have to work with. The front desk was friendly and very polite. I would stay here again.

Old, shower was dirty, broken tiles, lights didn’t work, had to find housekeeping to get towels. We left immediately and staff refused to refund any of our money, we had booked for 5 nights. Would not recommend at all.

This is not the worst place I’ve ever stayed. And it wouldn’t have been that bad if I’d only been there two nights. It wasn’t even necessarily dirty, but, there was no closet. There was no place to hang anything up. The bathroom had a great big mirror and plenty of light, but the vanity was in the bedroom and the mirror around the vanity did not have good life made it very difficult to do things like putting in contacts and I’ll make up. There’s no towel rack by the vanity so there’s no place to put a hand towel. The room was never cleaned the four nights we were there. You have to walk down to the office to get towels and they’re left out in a cabinet. You check in with the kiosk. I did locate an employee at 10:30 one night because the fire alarm in our room kept going off. He did come down and change the batteries. The area around the building is on site with a broken air conditioner sitting out. Houses are all over the sidewalk so you can wash your feet off, but there are safety hazard the way they’re laid out. It is a convenient location with a small grocery store across the street and a great place to eat breakfast next-door. It’s easy to walk to the beach or go to the pier with a little bit more attention to service. It could actually be a good value.
