We stayed for a week at this hotel and had a wonderful stay. Rooms are quite small and a little bit old fashioned but they have all you need for a nice stay! The breakfast buffet great with a huge variety of local Japanese food and western breakfast options. I became addicted to the miso soup which they offer for breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful by suggesting of things to do. We are really impressed by this wonderful Japanese culture. Location is simply perfect as a starting point for your day out. You will have a great time at this hotel.
Great stay for one night , hotel staff were great, location was great ! Breakfast was fine. Decent size rooms concierge were knowlegelable and assisted with everything and bought a 1 day tocket for transport as well at reception!
Hotel is in a very good position being very close to Ouer Cathedral and Glover Gardens as well as being quite close to a Tram stop. We travelled from Fukuoka where we found the staff very friendly and efficient. On checking in here, we were dealt with by an unsmiling individual shorn of any of the normal methods of making new guests feel welcome and valued. He promptly told us we were too early for a room and it maybe that his english was less than perfect which caused what seemed like hostility to my wife and I. We retreated to the coffee shop near reception and they were lovely. When we spoke to the Concierge afterwards, she tried hard but her English was lacking. She left us and found someone from the back office who restored our faith in Japanese people through her desire to communicate with us and showing a willingness to assist. The following morning, breakfast was a fiasco as if we were the first English people to use the hotel with tea coming out with milk in the teapot and when asking subsequently for tea with milk separate, received this except the milk was hot. Pastries were stale. Next morning there was a huge queue causing a concern that we might miss our train but managed to get in and have a quick breakfast. The standard of hotels we stayed in whilst in Japan mostly were exemplary and I suppose the shortcomings were so noticeable. I filled in a Customer appraisal for and placed it in an envelope on which I addressed it to the General Manager. I left my email but when I didn’t receive a response within 3 weeks, I emailed thinking the form may not have been given to him. The email prompted a fairly bland response. I was looking forward to staying at an ANA hotel having had my best flight from Japan on an ANA flight some years back — the difference between the flight and the hotel stay was marked.
We spent four nights here during a personal trip to Nagasaki. The Crowne Plaza is a bit removed from some of Nagaski's attractions, though Nagasaki is a small town and walking or taking the tram is very manageable. We chose the Crowne Plaza because we're IHG members and the price was reasonable. Our room upgrade was appreciated but was fairly nominal. The hotel does not have particularly good views of the city, which was a disappointment; our upgraded room overlooked a parking lot. Staff were professional but not always very helpful, in large part because of the language barrier. Our room was always well cleaned and we had no problems with the facilities. If we have the opportunity to visit Nagasaki again, we would likely stay here.
Very confortable and welcoming hotel near Glover Garden, Dutch slope and all transportation.It is really easy to go to all Nagasaki attractions. The hotel and the rooms were modern, clean, calm and confortable. The buffet breakfast was healthy and tasty. It was nice to go back to the hotel after a full day walking in the city. The really enjoyed our stay in this nice city and at Crowne Plaza.
It a great hotel with large bedrooms and great facilities! The staff is very friendly and helpful- the tea and cakes are delicious and served in fine china! The breakfast is disappointing unfortunately!
Ana hotel is very closed to Glover Garden and Oura Catholic Church. The Cruise ship terminal is only 300-500 meter away from this hotel. Inside was very clean and elegant with small shops inside and the food was exceptional.
This lovely hotel is located in a convenient part of Nagasaki. The place is immaculate with nice furnishings. This hotel competes with the hotels we stayed at in Tokyo and Osaka at 1/3 the cost. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again.
This hotel is situated close to Glover Park and the International Cruise Terminal. The sights tend to be at the other end of town but are easily accessible on the tram system which is cheap to use. The rooms are quite good with room for twin beds and a pull out bed, fridge and dressing table and still have room for two large and two small cases. The only drawback is the bathroom which reminds me of one in a cabin on board ship, it can only be used by one person at a time. It is not a high rise hotel. Language can be a problem, we booked to go up Mt Inasa and found ourselves on a totally Japanese tour. As decent as it is, I would advise to choose one more central.
The hotel is located 1 minutes walk from the tram station. if you have big suitcases probably it will be hard to get on the tram, so better to take a taxi from Nagasaki station, it is less than $10. The popular tourist spot Glover garden is minutes away by walk. everywhere you can go by the tram. the popular restaurant area is 10-15 min walk where you can enjoy Nagasaki champon. The room size is good enough. my room has two bed, still there is space to open the suitcase. The room was clean and modern. It seems that the hotel is recently renovated, so everything is like new. The staff is extremely polite and excellent service. Check is so so smooth, i didn't have touch my luggages right after i entered the hotel, till i open the bag in my room. The breakfast is buffet. there were western style and japanese style, which you can enjoy local food.
