Location is great, right on the seafront, outdoor pool is nice to spend a few hours. Problems we were given twins rooms when we booked doubles, there was a lot of building work ongoing which was noisey and resulted in people hanging around on our balcony. Reception staff ok, not brilliant though. My room also smelt of sewage, obviously coming back up in from the bathroom.
The check in experience here was probably the worst I've ever experienced in 30 years of hotel stays on five continents, with the lady at the front desk being both rude and slow. I was informed that despite the fact the hotel advertises on its website having both an outdoor and indoor pool, the indoor pool requires extra payment of 300 MAD (about 30 euros) per person for two hours. The front desk lady declared it was my fault for not knowing that every single hotel in Morocco requires separate payment to use the indoor pool! The indoor pool had been a big factor in our family deciding to stay here for five nights in winter, so this was not a good start to our stay. Accor Hotels: you really need to make clear on your website that the indoor pool requires separate payment - this was a very unpleasant surprise and is not fair to your customers. The rooms are fine, with balconies and views of the sea. Bedding quality is somewhat low, especially the sheets and pillows. Breakfast was certainly the highlight for us, with fresh juices and made-to-order omelets. Breakfast staff were great. We wanted to try to Moroccan restaurant for dinner, but it was closed and looked utterly deserted. There is complimentary, secure parking behind the hotel. A rental car is a must to explore the region, as Nador itself doesn't have that much going for it. We enjoyed day trips to Melilla, the mountain park (complete with monkeys) to the west, and to the beach on the cape to the north.
My second visit here and very much appreciated. Comfortable rooms which are well equipped. Wi-fi not the best but acceptable. I feel such well appointed rooms should have a waste bin in addition to the one in the bathroom. Pleasant place to socialise and nice dining facilities. Nicely placed close by the sea.
This is my first visit to Morocco and all I can say is that this hotel and its incredible staff just made my experience unforgettable. Excellent location, this hotel it’s without a doubt the best hotel in town. Ocean front, delicious food and a pool that is a dream. Even though the speak Arabic and French here, it wasn’t a problem communicating in either English or Spanish. Special note to Idris the front desk manager, absolutely incredible guy! I will never forget this week. Thank you Mercure!
Very well located by the Mar Chica at the town center. There is a parking in the back of the hotel. The lobby is well decorated and spacious. The personnels are kind, professional and helpful. The room is comfortable and clean. The restaurant is just amazing.
This hotel offers a panoply of good services. The staff is friendly and professional. The rooms are comfy and clean. You can enjoy a nice view from the swimming pool over the Mediterranean. I highly recommend their spa. Do not forget that if the weather is not adequate for a swim at the pool you can always enjoy their indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi, both, available throughout the year.
in 23/07/2017 i reserved a VIP suite for my wedding , am shocked when i was there ,even a bottle of water doesn t exist in the fridge , no vip , no food , no drink . verry bad service and verry bad management.
Extremely clean rooms, very friendly stuff. Awesome breakfast. Most beautiful hallway at the reception. The internet is sometimes not the best, but mostly it was good (2nd floor). We spend a lot of time at the pool we fell in love with it. All together we were were happy with our choice and dont regret a cent. Thank you!
Nothing to say about the hotel, the location of the hotel overlooking the beautiful Laguna of Marchica, at the reception and upon arrival, they greeted us with a good Moroccan tea, very friendly staff Listening to the slightest request, always smiling, the room was spacious and very comfortable, choice of restaurants. in award, Mercure Rif Nador is the place to be.
