We went there in February 2017 with our two kids ( 3years and 5 years old) along with three other families , it was our first visit and our first ski experience. The hotel is really beautiful and has everything needed for kids ( kids club, bowling , arcades, cinema , in door pool , baby sitting service ) the only thing missing for us as shisha smokers was a spacious covered terrace with a nice view , what the hotel has is a very small and packed room for shisha with no view. One more thing , I believe the hotel website needs to be updated as it does not reflect the full image of what the hotel really has , it needs to be more detailed and impressive as we were really positively surprised with what we saw at the hotels compared to what the website offers. One of the important things that needs to be highlighted on the website especially for people with first time ski experience is that the hotel has a shop that rents everything needed for ski , had we known that we would have reduced our luggage by half . Over all the hotel is amazing and we will for sure love to visit again . Rawan
I have been there twice so far. Seriously very poor condition of furniture. Internet is awfully bad. Heating is either over or below. The one thing that is really good is food a d the restaurant service crew. They ate just awesome a d they really know how to make u feel special. Otherwise. This is below a 4 stars in every single check point.
I stayed in this hotel last week. It is well known to be low season, but it is low in services. This Hotel is well located and this is the only advantage I can say when I pay that amount of money. If we start by parking valet: there is hidden cost added to the hotel bill of 13$/night. We have not been informed about it and you discover it at the checkout. All parking slots are outsources to third-party, and if you want to have self parking, you can use the slopes!! Secondly, it was low season, and the hotel was almost at 20% capacity. The customer care was equally to the "low" season. If I need to mention the WIFI, it was always unstable, weak and low speed. When I inquire, they said that is the best we have!!! Morever, in the second day of our stay, there was a maintenance to the elevator, and they used some materials like kerosone for some purpose. So we had to smell for the rest of our stay this odor. When we complained, the rep just promised to see what he can do, without any serious consideration. We went to the cinema theater, the cashier informed us in advance that we need to garantee 6 tickets at least in ordet to run the movie. We were two,and obviously he did accept to run the show. If you go to the bowling area, you have to pay 10$ / person for a row that does not proper sliding scheme, no side support for the kids and not tray support for kids. My daughter had to over pass the line, and walk down the non-"sliding" path to through the ball. When you go to the arcades, half of the games are not working and the others are oldies. And the GYM, it has the best machines, but is the has the worst monitor. We went the first day all of us as family: parents and kids and there was no monitor . The second day, as the monitor Mr. NIdal was sleeping and he was annoyed because we wake him up, he starting imposing rules as kids are not allowed, and he has been so rude, not inline with the 5 star hotel services. On my way out, i checked the noticeboard and it did not mention anything about kids. but it was mentioned only the opening hours for the GYM. The restaurant is the only good option that I enjoyed during my stay. Service plates were large enough and with the half board option we took with our package, the food was really more than enough. As an overall, the hotel has an average rate, versus very high prices. The hotel is taking advantage of its unique location, but the services are not worth the money you pay
It was an unforgettable night, the room was very big having amazing snow view. We got warm greetings since we parked the car, very fast service, very clean hotel having great staff and amazing food with the availability of shesha viewing the snow. I took the room with breakfast and the buffet was rich with the great Lebanese food. I advise all the visitors not to go on weekends to enjoy the hospitality as the hotel will be very busy. But in weekends there will be more facilities like cinema and kids play area . Keep in mind that you will be charged 14$ every day for car parking.
We stayed here during low season so the hotel was quiet and we got great service. The location is great to access the slopes and the hotel has its own private slope and shops at basement level to rent ski equipment at regular prices. It has all the amenities of a 5 star hotel but the rooms need a makeover. We are club members so we got a room facing the slopes which was beautiful but the room itself is far from 5 star standard. It's old and there is absolutely no ventilation in the bathroom. The bathtub has curtains and not glass doors which is so passe. The internet was non existant during out stay. When i complained, they said they were having issues with the internet provider those few days. Overall we had a pleasant stay and during low season the hotel is good value for money.
Although the hotel is an Intercontinental brand, I've had a few issues with several areas of the hotel during our end of winter stay although we had been here in the summer of 2016 and I did want to give the hotel the benefit of the doubt. Toilet ventilation system blows air in rather than sucking out the fumes..... No further comment on that bit. Shower system fluctuates hot and cold so there are extremes of the two on and off... We stayed in room 410 btw... Balcony blinds had holes in them which makes me question what's going on with a hotel like this to have issues like thia.... Valet parking is goodish. Attendant missing from time to time. In-house hotel entertainment such as the cinema and kids fun room were closed on all our visits. I found out that cinema opens only Fridays Saturdays and Sundays... Ski lifts and slopes are extra charge for in-house guests which I think shouldn't be the case when you are already a paying hotel guest. On the F&B side things are average and nothing spectacular. Room temperature was difficult to address. We litteraly slept in our underwear from the excess heat and with the balcony door open. Nose bleeds and dry throats. Renovations are no excuse for the lack of placing a humidifier in a room in a hotel at such a location... Wall paper breaking off on some of the walls in the room. Smaller TV than in similar range hotels in Dubai... Why should Dubai be any better? Last bit of all is the dreadful but "Free" WIFI...IN A WORD: USELESS ...... Renovations is definitely not relevant as an excuse I think all in all, an average room WITH PLENTY OF ROOM TO IMPROVE.
We loved the place. The team is excellent. Very helpful. Great for kids. Easy access to the sloop. We stayed 2 days, not a weekend. End of snow season. Place is so quite and great to enjoy. A bit far from other places, but easy to get a taxi.
It was the end of the skiing season, the suite was spacious, amazing mountain views ans staff very friendly. However the room was very hot... and the bathrooms need to be updated and renovated... paint peeling from the bathtub is unacceptable at an Intercontinental hotel...
So its the ONLY (good) option in the area, we did our reservations for the weekend Friday through Sunday . Staff are really friendly and smiley but definitely need more training. Bowling , pool and arcade center available for kids. The rooms and bathrooms are TERRIBLE, hasn't been changed or fixed since the hotel opening i suppose, really old furniture, uncomfortable beds,as for the bathrooms need to be done all over again, and the shower curtains need to be changed urgently !! The Lobby is cozy and nice, the breakfast is really good with a huge variety. Snowing piste is available. Beautiful location. Doesn't really deserve 5 stars, and the high price range.
Beautiful hotel. Spent one night during the week at the hotel. Luxury in every detail. In love with the bedding there :) THE LOBBY IS FANTASTIC. I recommend the hotel, and the buffet breakfast was superb. YUM!
