The Lazy Bear Cabin formally the lazy moose creates Rest, Adventure and Rejuvenation. Close to town ,The Lazy Bear has it all! This adorable new Cabin is tucked away with long range views rustic but modern features, high speed internet and peace and quite. The cabin is perfect to rejuvenate and reconnect! No Pets Please!
Enjoy the sights and sounds of nature on the wrap-around porch or the warmth and glow of the Camp Fire/ Bbq area that sits right out your front door. Take in all the beauty of nature, hiking, waterfalls, fishing, boating from all the surrounding areas. The town of Murphy is just a short drive with great restaurants coffee shops and plenty of shopping. Don't forget the Murphy has a beautiful Harris Casino just a short drive!!

Being lazy at the Lazy Moose

Great cabin in the woods. Last cabin on the road, located at the top gives it privacy. All the necessity's were provided. Beds were comfortable and big screen TV with high speed internet. Great place to relax. A short drive to town, you will find good food and good service at the local restaurants. We hope to return soon. Bob and Susan Bradenton,FL

Most Wonderful Time

We love this place and this was our second time staying. The place is clean, has most of what you will need, great location, and feels like home. It is decorated beautifully. We played board games, relaxed, and one day went to Chunky Gals Stables to ride soem horses. We enjoyed the fire pit and got to see snow.

We had a wonderful time staying in the NC Mtns near Murphy NC at the Lazy Moose. Great cabin, surroundings, and great communication with the hosts. Would definitely stay again.

Restful Retreat

We have always loved the mountains and rivers in North Carolina and were excited to experience the Lazy Moose in Murphy. With each winding turn, our drive up to the cabin was filled with anticipation. It is a hidden gem, secluded in the quietest community of Cherokee Oaks. Lazy Moose was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had all the amenities you could every need. If only it had been chilly enough for a fire in the lovely stacked stone fireplace… next time! We fished for brown trout on the Nantahala River and Wishon Recreation Area, enjoyed walking in downtown Murphy and Bryson City, and just resting and relaxing at the Lazy Moose. Eddie was a wonderful host and very helpful with directions. We could not have asked for a more enjoyable time! I am already planning our next visit. Thank you so much for sharing your cabin with us.
