Eagles' Nest Getaway: Experience Life on the Little Missouri River

The Eagles' Nest Getaway is a private riverfront retreat nestled in the scenic hills of Southwestern Arkansas along the banks of the Little Missouri River.  It sleeps 10 people and has two and a half baths.  Great Trout Fishing.  The cabin is located a few miles from historic Murfreesboro, Arkansas, Crater of Diamonds State Park and Lake Greeson. This cabin is owned and operated by the Old Factory Getaway owners and received its name for the incredible view and occasional bald eagle sightings.
The cabin is air-conditioned and features a kitchen, 2.5 bathrooms, and a patio, and there's space to spread out with 3 bedrooms. Guests can expect to find a TV with a DVD player. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a sofa bed, and a coffee maker.

We absolutely loved this cabin and location. The cabin has three nice bedrooms, perfect for families. Very cozy and comfortable. Gorgeous view of the river and sky from the living room and the porch without even having to walk down to the river. It definitely has that secluded, rustic charm. We were even able to bring our dog! The river is beautiful and you can access it for fishing and fun in the water depending on river conditions. For most of our trip it was about 18" in most areas in front of the cabin. Upstream was deeper for better fishing. My son caught three good sized trout and saw several eagles in the early morning! My younger son and I floated around in tubes on the river. Be mindful of the water release schedule at the upstream Narrows Dam though. When they release water, the river can rise quickly and move pretty fast. The release schedule can easily be viewed online. It takes 45-60 min. after water is released to start to see river conditions change at the cabin but then they change pretty quickly. I don't mention this to scare anyone. It's just better to be fully informed. We didn't hesitate to take advantage of having such a great spot along the river! It was one of the main reasons we chose this location. The owners are super nice and also provide equipment to use for diamond hunting at the nearby Crater of Diamonds State Park. We spent an afternoon there and the equipment was a nice bonus that we would have had to rent otherwise. LOVED this place!

Our stay at the getaway cabin was Amazing! We loved the secluded location and the dog was able to run around the back yard and have a good time. We went down by the river at the lookout area and watched the water rise after the rains from the north. It was a great location to go to the crater diamond state park, and up to Mt. Ida for quartz crystals! Thank you for sharing your place with us.
We used the picnic table on the days it was sunny!

As many other people's reviews, pictures do not do this vacation rental justice! Breathtaking views over the river, quiet, peaceful and secluded. Fishing is not too feasible, however there is a spot down the road with easy river access. Cabin had everything we needed. Diamond mining equipment was a plus, we went twice and was a fun experience for the family. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well laid out with all cooking tools, plenty of seating in the living room. TV is not smart, which some of the family members had a hard time with haha, but I loved it and we played games, sat around firepit, and enjoyed the wilderness sounds and fresh air. Would definitely recommend for both small and larger groups. Downtown area has limited food options, but the Telinga Restuarant was great food. The Dino Dig was fun for the little one. The locals are very kind, helpful, and friendly. Hosts are responsive, have a great "to do" guide, and clean cabin!!

This was a 3 night stay at Eagles Nest. We arrived around 5:00pm. Noticed A/C not blowing. Text host Judy. Shane came out within 15 minutes. He called Diamond City A/C company and their Techs stayed until repaired. We want to thank them for staying very late (after 10:00pm) and repairing the unit. Both were very professional. Host Judy did offer another cabin for us to use for that night if needed. Cabin was very clean and had a great layout. We had 4 adults and 4 dogs (2 large and 2 small). Plenty of room for everyone. Nice and clean outside with an area of grass for dogs to play. Cabin had a great wrap around deck with 2 stairs cases for entry. Nice long stairs to get to the dock area at the river. Water was low so it had a drop off and we didn’t let our dogs in the water. Not sure how they would get out. It would have been nice to have a set of stairs or ramp to access water when low. 1 dog 105# and other 88#. Other 2 were Dachshunds. Easy access to surrounding areas like Crater of Diamonds. Glenwood for kayaking. Murfreesboro was clean and easy to get around. Nice shops around the circle. Good breakfast at Terri’s restaurant not so good dinner and flys everywhere. Now if you want good food and excellent service go to Telinga’s Mexican restaurant. They had the fastest and greatest service we have ever seen. Even the Sonic had good food and nice people. Overall we will return for another pleasant stay.

Beautiful and quiet cabin with wonderful views. Very spacious and clean. We even got to see some deer on property. We got the teens fishing and trout licenses so they were able to fish in the creek which they enjoyed. Host were great and very accommodating. It was also great to have almost everything we needed including equipment to mine for diamond available to us. Host got back quickly with any questions I had and I would most definitely stay again.

We enjoyed our family weekend here. The house was impeccably clean and was stocked with everything we needed for a relaxing weekend in the country. The house was easy to find and was a short drive to downtown Murfreesboro and 10 minutes the Crater of Diamonds State Park. The host was very responsive. Checkout was easy. We checked out on time, but 10 minutes down the road we had to go back when we forgot an item. The host was very helpful and got us back into the house immediately to retrieve it. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Stay

The pictures on the listing do not do justice for this beautiful cabin. We were a party of 9 and at no time did we feel crowed. The space was perfect, the river access and view great, being close enough to the little town, but totally secluded gave it a serene feeling. One day of our stay the AC was not cooling the property, and the owners sent a tech out to repair it right away, they are even being so kind as to mail me my glasses that I left behind. I will definitely stay again!

A relaxing time on the Lil’ Missouri River

This is a beautiful property with peaceful river views and a spacious, impeccably clean home—more than enough room for our group of four (2 people, 2 dogs). It’s a great spot to relax and unwind. The only small note is that some of the trees have grown in a bit, so trimming them would help restore the full scenic view seen in the listing photos. Fishing enthusiasts should know the riverside deck is set back and elevated, so bringing a long-handled net will make landing a catch much easier. Overall, a lovely stay in a quiet, beautiful setting!

Family Weekend Getaway

My family and I wanted to get away for the weekend and booked this cabin on the river hoping for a good time but it wasn't, it was a GREAT time! The pictures don't do this cabin justice, it's really beautiful inside and out, the scenery is gorgeous and the quiet sounds of the river are wonderful. With the 3 bedroom/3 bath open concept cabin, there was plenty of space for my group of 9 and my toddling granddaughter. They also had literally everything you would need already there soaps, cleaning supplies, towels, laundry soap, dishes, coffee makers, games, TVs, plenty of seating, etc. We were sad to leave but made some awesome memories!
