Happy Times !!!

We attend an event at the trade show which is also on the east side of the City. The S bahn makes it so easy to travel from the airport to ostbahnof and also to the expo. The walk to the hotel from the train station is about 5-7 minutes. The staff is pleasant and the hotel is very clean. The bed was very comfortable and we appreciated the real king size bed. Even though our room faces the street and on the lower level, it was surprisingly not noisy. It is not far to go Marienplatz and there are good markets, department stores and great restaurants nearby. I will stay there again.

Stayed overnight at this hotel. Not the cheapest but I had a really lovely room with everything I could want for one night included. Beautifully clean and plenty of space. I arrived at 1130pm but this was no problem (I telephoned the previous day to say I would be late but this probably wasn't necessary). Breakfast is a bit expensive but is really good - you can fill up for a long day ahead! The hotel is within easy walking distance of the Ostbahnhof (Munich East Train Station) and really easy to find as it is on the same street. I advise crossing the road at the station as there is no pedestrian crossing by the hotel.

Stayed the first weekend in Nov. The front desk could not locate our booking, then when they did we stood in a second queue to be checked in. The inexperienced girls on the desk offered no apologies. The room was booked as a present from our daughter who called in and asked to settle the bill. Even though they had a swipe of my credit card they said no at first and then relented!! The cleaner walked into our room while while my wife was in the shower and then argued with me when I chased him out. The hotel has good potential but the staff are an absolute joke. Maybe we were on candid camera.

The hotel could do with a bit of updating but it is pretty good overall. The parking lot is spacious so can accommodate large vehicles which is not always easy to find in big cities. The rooms are nice. There is public transportation right in front of the hotel making everything easy to get to. However, it is only a 30 minute or so walk to where the Hofbrauhaus and the rest of the action is so that is pretty sweet. Would not mind staying here again - nice place

Nice Hotel...close to the train station ...comfortable rooms and bathroom. Good spread at breakfast. Free WiFi which is fast and reliable. Small supermarket near by for some shopping too. Stayed there in October and got a good deal.

Luggage handle broke as I got off the train; no one cared. I went to Courtyard Marriott for a last minute reservation and I got upgraded to Business floor (even though Sandra the receptionist did not initially recognize me as a Gold member, it was only after she looked up my account, did she realize I was Gold). Room is quiet (recommend even side although the view is only the courtyard). Oh I also got an early check in and there is an in-room safe. Ate at the bitro and had Franziskaner wheat beer and ham and cheese sandwich. Hotel staff was nice to make a reservation at L’Angolo holzofen pizza. Good stuff. I am giving it a "5" for since the hotel did allow me to take a towel to use to help pull my broken luggage and not charge me for it. I also slept for 8 hours and the food for breakfast was not bad and most food was locally made (although I wish breakfast was free).

With Marriott, you always know what you are getting - or at least what you should be getting, and this hotel measures up! The American king size bed was a great treat after staying in some nice but very European hotels for the previous few nights. This hotel is only a 6 minute walk from one of the main train (S and U) stations, and we were able to get to every place we wanted to go with ease. The hotel also has the advantage of having a Hertz office in the lobby, where we were able to return our car 2 days early and save the headache of trying to do it at a foreign airport on the morning of departure. We stayed on the top floor, facing the street and did not experience any undue noise, in fact, we enjoyed the room very much.

I have stayed at this hotel for the last 5 years for Oktoberfest. Unfortunately this year the hotel no longer offers free breakfast to Platinum members which was a big disappointment especially considering that is a main reason why I choose this one. The location is a little outside the main attractions but only a 8 minute walk from the train station that will connect you to everything. The rooms are very nice and the hotel itself if quite nice. Overnight parking is around 20 euros a night.

You won't write home saying it's the best hotel ever, but if you are looking for an easy, simple and smartly serviced hotel you won't find yourself complaining. It's clean, the breakfast is decent, and the Starbucks coffee machine a welcomed treat in the event of an early departure to the airport. I stayed in a room facing the inner courtyard, which was very quiet. One of my colleagues stayed on the side of the street and did had some remarks about the noise. Your call. One thing to point out is that they don't have room service, but at the same time they don't mind if you order and take the food up to the room.
