Tried to cancel a single night booking made for 6 weeks later and even though I tried to cancel one hour after making it and there is a bright green banner on the Booking.Com site saying No Prepayment Necessary. Free Cancellation the company a cancellation charge of Euros 71 was due (about 90% of the value of the booking!!) and, what's more, one month ago they actually debited the FULL AMOUNT OF THE BOOKING - Euros 79 - fraudulently from my account. Booking.Com tried and failed to help because the hotel don't respond to anyone about anything. Shocking for a brand this well-known.
Great location for work and the Rusticana meat restaurant a few blocks down but otherwise quite an average corporate hotel. The bedrooms and conference rooms were excessively hot considering that it was snowing outside! Turning the air conditioning down did not seem to make a difference. Food was average, bedrooms average, service was good
Visiting family we stayed at this hotel for the weekend. Rooms are adequate and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nice and good value for money. We will visiting Munich again in June and have already booked our stay at this hotel.
Stayed here because I had to take a train to Italy. Hotel is 5 min walk from the Ostbahnhof station and getting to my train was much less stressful than at Hauptbahnhof. There is also an S-Bahn stop to go to city centre or airport, so the connection ist great, plus there is a Hertz rental car counter in the hotel reception area. Closeby you have a supermarket, a small department store and several shops. You can also take a 15 min walk to a really nice area with restaurants and shops on Innere Wiener Strasse (if you want to go to a Bavarian Brewery, try Hofbräukeller). It is a nice walk through a quiet residential area. The room itself was typical Marriott Courtyard, not as fancy as a real Marriott but still comfortable and equipped with everything I needed. There was a gym in the hotel next door which can be used by Courtyard guests. Would go again if the price was right. I expect this hotel to be pricey when there is a trade show on.
Rooms here are smaller than the Marriott Residence Inn which is part of the same complex. Compare the prices just in case as it's worth staying in the residence inn which can be priced lower sometimes. Word of warning breakfast is not standard despite being a platinum member. Make sure you select breakfast if you want something in the morning. Breakfast is decent and worth the cost. No exec lounge available. Good location walking distance to the train station and convenient from the airport. Qatar airlines crew all stay here. There are some good restaurants around the hotel.
This was my a business trip in November 2016. The only minus was the air-conditioning/ heating, which I was unable to regulate so for the cold months it was pretty cool in the room. Overall the stay was fine, the breakfast was excellent; the staff was very professional. Parking is in the garage.
Stayed in the hotel for 3 days, friendly staff, well maintained, clean and neat. Close to transport, easy to get to. Just a bit old and a little too closed to main street and train rail, a little noisy.
Initially my stays at this hotel were okay...but lately the quality of this hotel is going down rapidly. I have two main concerns: - For some reason I always tend to find long hairs in the bathroom, and for sure these are not mine. So simple conclusion is that rooms are not cleaned properly - One of my last stays the water from the sink didn't go down the drain (and dirty stuff came to the surface). I reported this early morning at the frontdesk expecting this would have been fixed by the time I came back in the evening. Unfortunately this was not the case so had to report this again in the evening. Only after the second time I reported this, the issue was fixed. - Upon check-in, the hotel takes out a pre-authorisation of your credit card, which they cancel upon payment (check-out). This used to work well........ Only for the last three times they managed to totally mess up. As a result of this,for these three times my credit card limit is blocked for 20 days before the pre-authorisation is cancelled. When I noticed the mistakes, I discussed this at the frontdesk and for that reason I basically pay upfront. But even now the manage to do this incorrectly....for example for my last stay I have the amount blocked against my credit card FOUR times (3 times minus and 1 time plus). Staff at the frontdesk does not acknowledge their mistake, not even after showing my account statment. This now is a structural issue that people need to be aware of. Lately there seem to work relatively many new employees at the frontdesk who in my opion are not competent enough to work there and don't deal with issues appropriately. This really needs to be addressed!
Quite basic hotel but certainly not bad in any way. Nice shower. Decent breakfast. Friendly staff. Gym is on the small side and could do with being bigger. Food was okay, but I would recommend going out.
The service at this hotel is excellent. The front desk employees are extremely friendly and helpful. I have stayed at other hotels in Munich, and this has become my favorite. The hotel is very clean and comfortable, and the food at the hotel's restaurant is good. Overall, it was a very relaxing stay with superb service. The only downside was some street noise that I could hear through the window.
