About this property
The Parish • 23-Acre Country Retreat
Welcome to the Parish at Trigger Mountain.
Southern charm, part old-world quiet, The Parish was built in the 1890s for the Trigger Mountain Baptist congregation. Restored with a storyteller’s hand, it holds history in every corner. Velvet textures, dim lamps, worn books, and small comforts make each room a place to slow down and remember.
The space When you book the entire Parish, you’ll have full access to all 2,000 square feet, thoughtfully restored for comfort and charm. Enjoy a fire in the library, gather in the formal dining room, or use the fully equipped kitchen to prepare family meals.
The primary suite features a king bed and a private bathroom, providing the perfect retreat.
Down the hall, just past the kitchen, are two additional bedrooms, each with full-sized beds. The Parish comfortably sleeps five guests, but if you need to accommodate an extra visitor, please let us know, we’re happy to help when possible.
Guest access Check-in is at 3 PM, but let us know if you need an earlier arrival. Check-out is at 11 AM.
The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, and everything you need. We also provide bottled water, milk, orange juice, and our house dessert... the Shepherd’s Round.
Explore the 23 acres of walking trails, or bring your Gator, ATV, or whatever cool ride you’ve got—just please be mindful of the gates. Inside, you’ll find quality bedding and towels, along with scented body wash and shampoo for your use.
Leave the sheets and dishes, we'll take care of everything. Other things to note
For Desert, The Shepard’s Round
A small seasonal round baked in the old copper mold that once belonged to the Parish kitchen, Shepard’s Round is a warm sweet bread inspired by early Texas farmstead traditions. Made with spiced batter, sweet potato, and fruit, it’s set beneath a glass dome in the library for guests to enjoy at their leisure.
Simple, comforting, and quietly old-fashioned, it’s a welcome treat after a long day of travel or time spent on the land.

Amazing property! We had the best time. House was wonderful, clean, and nicer than we thought at booking. The property is so much fun to explore with kids. We put out some corn and watched all the deer. One morning, I saw the largest buck I have ever seen in the Hill Country. It looked like it escaped from a game ranch!
