Home away from home- comfy and peaceful

The property was awesome! Our kids loved being there ! The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed from cooking, coffee pot, grilling items, fire ring necessities! Extra beds for the kids, sheets, pillows , blankets. Card games, boards were an absolute bonus! The location was absolutely perfect!! Right off the highway, quiet and so peaceful and in the middle of everything you wanna do! Lots of yard space for the kids to run and play ! 2 bathrooms and showers was amazingly awesome for everyone. The patio was great for everyone. We will definitely rent this house again for our bext vacation spot !

Highly recommend. 2 families of 4 fit very comfortably in this large farm house.Beautiful home and property, the house is spacious and comfortable. Plenty of towels and sheets. Sipping coffee on the patio and watching the cows every morning, gathering around the fire pit for s'mores every evening, only 10 minutes to the lake, and only10 minutes to the grocery store. This property is a solid choice if you need a family friendly getaway near Summersville.

Nice Stay - 2 Nights

We had 3 couples stay at the farmhouse. We enjoyed our stay. The host did a good job answering our questions before we made our reservation. The property was perfect for 3 couples and had covered parking which was nice for loading and unloading the car. Internet service and cable were spot on. We enjoyed the quick access to Summerville Lake via Battle Run Public Boat Launch and being not to far from Fayetteville.

Family getaway

This house was the perfect location for all the things we wanted to do on our family getaway. It was close to activities, yet private and quiet. We decided on white water rafting on the Lower New River Gorge and kayaking on Summersville Lake. It was great to come back to a clean and quiet house after all the fun. Plus, it was really enjoyable seeing the cows! The house was well stocked had everything you could need for a vacation. I would definitely rent here again if we come back to the area!

Long weekend visit to area

The property was fantastic! The house was clean and had everything that we needed for a comfortable stay. It was located close to all the hiking/rafting that we wanted to do. We were able to enjoy time on the deck, cook meals, and watch the wildlife while at the house. My family of four loved it!

Beautiful Farm House

Had a wonderful stay at this beautiful farm house! Very spacious and clean. It is a very peaceful and relaxing area but still close to the highway and all the great activities at the new river gorge. We would definitely stay agian!

Excellent Location for Gauley Adventure

Enjoyed our stay at the farmhouse. Great location for raft trip on the Gauley. It was quiet and comfortable, close to everything in the area while also being secluded. It was a great place to stay for our group.

Great place to escape

Our family of 4 adults were all very pleased with the home and property. Loved watching the deer, turkeys and cows. It was quiet and serene. Great place to relax on the patio and catch some football in between all the local activities. Owner was very responsive. Had a little trouble finding it at 9:30 pm. It was dark and a little hidden away but had it been daylight I don’t think we would have had a problem. Would definitely stay here again. WiFi worked great.

Wonderful property if your goal is relaxation and family time! The house was well appointed and filled with thoughtful details. Perfect location for climbers right next to the Meadows and in between Summersville Lake and Fayetteville. Would definitely stay again!

A lovely get away

We enjoyed this home very much. It was the perfect location, near white water rafting adventures, Fayetteville, Summersville, the cool New River Bridge, and lots of hiking. We chose Ace Adventures for our activities and had a blast (zip line tour, rafting, inflatable water park). The cows on the property made our stay extra fun. They were very cute!

Perfect getaway

This farmhouse is the perfect little getaway. It is so peaceful and serene. Our toddler loved to watch the cows in the pasture by the house. There is a ton of wildlife to enjoy as well. The kitchen has everything you need to be able to prepare a meal for a crowd and the location is close to both Summersville and Fayetteville if you have an adventure planned or dont feel like cooking.

Easy access to NRG NP

Great place near the new river gorge. Only 20 minutes away from Fayetteville and direct down 19. No WiFi but the cows and plenty of firewood make up for that.

We did not realize there was not any Wi-Fi, which is our fault for not checking. Luckily we were able to find local places to watch some sports. Just want people to be aware before getting there and finding out. The cows were a plus though

Summersville Lake weekend

We loved the farm house. It was updated and very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals. We loved looking at the stars at night. We also enjoyed watching the cows, deer and turkeys in the nearby fields. The location worked great for us. It was about 10 minutes to the lake. It also had lots of room to park our boat. The only down side for us was that you could hear the highway at the house. We will definitely stay here in the future if we are in the area.
