Eclipse Escape
I booked this cabin a few months before the total eclipse in April 2024 and was hoping for an idyllic, secluded mountain retreat where my friends, sister, her boyfriend and me could get away into nature while also viewing the eclipse. What we got out of our stay was more than any of us could have asked for. The scenery was beautiful. The large yard had more than enough room for us all to spread out and enjoy the eclipse. The beds were comfortable and everyone slept great. The goats and rooster as the next door neighbors were also an extra treat. At night we sat around the fire pit and enjoyed the serenity that Mountain View offers. One afternoon we went into town to listen to folks music and eat homemade ice cream. We've already began making plans to come back down from Wisconsin in the autumn to soak up more Ozark mountain air.

Secluded Stay!
Remote but very peaceful!! Very clean property! Had all necessities. Nice furnishings! Only negatives were steep stairs and insufficient cooling downstairs. Ny parents; my sister and I enjoyed our stay greatly!

Cozy Getaway!
My family enjoyed our stay and the quiet country setting! This house was comfy and cozy. It is a country house, so don’t go looking for modern decorations other than a large TV. The furniture is very comfortable and clean. Carpets and floors clean with no smells. Very impressive for a place that allows pets. The stairs to downstairs area are very steep. Will not be good for people with bad knees or balance issues. Gas wall heaters warm the house quickly, but watch for the open flame and little ones. House does sit on a dirt road, just drive slow. Will need to call, rather than email, the house manager if you need something.
