One of the nicest Holiday Inn Express properties I've stayed in. Despite it being Thanksgiving peak everything was well managed and the staff friendly.

Lucky to find this hotel as we were evacuating from Hurrucane Florence with our dog and our cat. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. They worked with us to extend our reservation when things at home were still uncertain. We’d like to return under different circumstances to better enjoy what Mt. Airy has to offer.
The Hotel staff were great especially Carolyn. The room was very comfortable and spacious. The only slight challenge was the tub drained very slow, but otherwise things were great.
The gentleman at the front desk was the highlight of the stay. He was so kind and accommodating. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was delicious. The blonde woman cleaning the breakfast area was amazing. She kept it spotless. Best staff around!
The only negative comment would be on the breakfast selection. We stayed for 7 days and the breakfast selection was poor after a couple of days.
I travel frequently with my job and stay in hotels across the country. I must say that this was one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, and the room was the cleanest I have EVER stayed in!!! They had a wonderful breakfast bar and 24 hour coffee available in the lobby. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and will definitely stay here again! Can't say enough great things about it!
The only good thing about our stay was the breakfast. The beds were horrible, and the room smelled like a chemical factory when we entered. Forget about the pool and hot tub. Pool was small and filthy. Hot tub was tiny and didn't work. Overpriced. Will never stay there again.
