Boats are available for hire during the summer months and provide a unique means of enjoying the magnificent scenery, there are also pleasant riverside walks. A sandy beach within ½ mile and stretches 3 miles northwards to Alnmouth. Boat trips are available from nearby Amble for sea fishing and to view the seabirds on Coquet Island. Shops and pubs in village.
