Absolutely, the most beautiful home we've ever had the pleasure of staying in!!Our arrival was earlier than planned and we we're still welcomed by the beautiful Consuelo., the owner of this gorgeous property. Our luggage was taken and we were invited to peruse the gardens and olive groves and relax by the pool until the villa was ready. There are so many little nooks to hide away in ... read a book from their extensive collection or take in any one of the eclectic art works. The home is filled, and I mean filled, with interesting little pieces from around the globe, that the owners have collected and placed to enjoy. Our days were spent by the beautiful pool and the property itself is like a nature preserve. We spent one morning just walking around identifying the flora. Naturally, the olive groves, the Rosemary 'walls', Camphor trees Pepper trees, Pomegranate trees, miniature Mandarins Lemon trees ... just to name a few. And we used many of these items in our meals.Speaking of meals, we had a beautiful dinner prepared and served by Consuelo and her family! It was heavenly! We also had an pizza night, prepared by Luigi and using the wood-fired pizza oven out in the yard. Consuelo arranged all of our transfers & tours ... from the airport and into Rome with a tour of the Vatican and ending with dinner reservations at a fabulous restaurant closeby! Bellissimo!!! We cant say enough about La Casa del Pozzo Antico, Consuelo, Luigi and their whole team! Molto Grazie a tutti
