The check in process was very conflicted. You have to know exactly where you're going or the security guard will not allow you through. We were sent to the clubhouse. Then, radioed back down to the security guard stand just to be able to check in to get our room keys. There was not a super good description of where the rooms were located. There are no numbers on the outside of the "hotel part" to let you know where to go. I had to ask other patrons of the property. The room was a bit dated. The guest services have very limited hours. Online it says that it's open until 9pm. However, at the resort they have a sign that states that it varies depending on the day - which in my opinion is a very poor business model. When booking with Orbitz, I was told that half would charged to my card and the other half would need to be paid to the staff. The whole amount was charged to my card (which staff was able to correct). Then, our last day we were rudely awoken by people working on the outside of the building right outside our room at 7am without any notice that the property would be worked on during our stay. I hope that others have better experiences than we did.

Nice area to stay at, however, the room we stayed in was not very clean. In addition, the hotel is very outdated and needs upgrading badly. For a resort, the restaurant should have breakfast available, otherwise it is a very sparse option. Tennis/pickle ball courts were very disappointing as the surface is broken apart and is basically unplayable and not to mention there were not nets on the pickle ball court.

Everything was going well until we were awakened at 7:30 am to construction noise, as they were replacing deck railings a few rooms over. Totally unacceptable, and speaks very poorly of management, we won't be returning.

It is a beautiful location, has a nice restaurant, indoor pool and gym.

The property was beautiful, and the buildings were clean and comfortable. There needs to be some upgrades with sidewalks crumbling and painting needing done, but otherwise it is a great place to stay with some minor updates needing done. I stayed in the lodge and the only inconvenience was there was a loud creaking upstairs every time someone was upstairs was walking, but... otherwise it was a very pleasant stay. I do intend to return someday, but I'll rent a cabin where I don't hear people around me as easily.

It was beautiful and relaxing! The staff were very nice and had a homey feeling to it. It was perfect for a weekend getaway from the hustle and bustle of Loudoun County.

The lake is beautiful and the food at the lodge is good

Truly surprised by everything they had to offer ex: pool clubhouse bar and restaurant etc.

Nice hotel with a beautiful view. Food is good but understaffed. Great choice for a weekend getaway.

Decent stay, however there is no way the motel where you sleep should be advertised as a 3 star resort. Yes, there is stuff to do outside of the building where you sleep (lodge, activities, lake, golf, etc) , but we were expecting a bit more from it. Squeaky floor, no toilet paper, TV that wouldn't turn on.. the list goes on and on. We didn't really care as we stayed for just one night, but overall it is not as good as what they make you believe it is when you book. The lake is beautiful and they have a nice playground for the kids but the housing/lodge need a lot of rework.

We have stayed here several times and have always enjoyed the location as well as the facility. The staff is always pleasant. The rooms are neat and clean and the bedding is always comfortable. Just a small up-charge for our dog. This hotel is as good or better than many chains. Will definitely stay here again.

Front desk staff were pleasant and accommodating. We were there because we are looking to move. We were given information on Clutter Realty and spent part of the day seeing houses. Both the lodge staff and the Realtor were very kind and generous with their time. We most definitely plan on returning for another trip.

Had a great time @ Alpine Lake Resort. Nice friendly staff. Great price and clean room. Hotel was in the process of up-grading the steps and hallways.

We are aware of and in the process of addressing the areas that need renovation. Sadly as they say Rome wasn't built in a day and these projects take time and money. I am sorry you did not enjoy your time here with us.

I am very sorry that the remodeling that we are doing to insure the safety of guests like yourself, disturbed you. I know that its never easy to go through upgrades and that it can be a pain to our guests but the building was in need of several repairs. I am sure that you can understand the importance of this renovation. I truly hope that you will give us a chance again after or remodel is complete as a valued guest we would hate to lose your business. Feel free to call and speak to us at anytime.
