Perfect Place on the Lake

House is perfect - has everything you need. Very comfortable beds, common area, kitchen with everything you need including a second ice maker to fill the ice chest. Upstairs area great for kids with ping pong and arcade.Fire pit very nice down by the lake and plenty of kindling for any fire! Corner store has wood that burns well. Kayaks and boards great for exploring! Everything you need in the boat house.Don't miss dinner at Bones Jones, if you're on the weekend, make sure to add your name to the wait list before going.A lot nearby, Fonta Flora trail with bridge by the boat launch, Wiseman's Overlook 50 minutes, Linville Falls 40 minutes, and Linville Falls Winery 45 minutes. Great place and in great condition.

Great getaway

Great location on a beautiful lake! Home was nice and provided a lot of different activities. We really enjoyed the lake fun with provided kayaks and paddle boards and the evening fun with the provided games, ping pong table and video game machine. Hiking in the area is beautiful and the folks at the marina were so great. Rented a boat to explore the beautiful views from the water. Highly recommend. We will be back.

Beautiful lake getaway

Our family loved our time on the lake. We spent hours swimming and taking the paddle boards and kayaks out. The dock is on a quiet part of the lake so we never had to worry about boat traffic with the kids. Everyone gave it two thumbs up!

Almost cool!

We were here last summer and it rained every day. All day long! This year, skies were clear and temps were in the 90’s, but we enjoyed a nice breeze, kayaking, paddle boarding, and floating in the lake! We even managed a hike in the shade on the Fonta Flora trail! The property had everything we needed and we enjoyed every minute!

Celebrating 21

What a wonderful weekend! We came to celebrate my daughter and her boyfriend turning 21 and your place exceeded all our expectations! We had a wonderful time on the deck hanging out and swimming on the dock and just relaxing on the big blue pad! The kitchen was absolutely amazing and big enough to enjoy our family birthday lunch! We had some competitive late night games of ping pong and foosball and laughed at how fun it was. This was truly one of the BEST Family weekends we’ve had in a long time! Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your lovely home. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful property and location

This was a perfect property for my family to enjoy lake activities (kayaks and paddle boards provided by hosts), hiking trails (a trailhead is just a few minutes walk from the house), and lakeside serenity. My family stayed in June 2024, with 3 generations represented. Everyone from my 3yo daughter to my 64yo father enjoyed getting out of the kayaks a d paddle boards, swimming in the lake, enjoying coffee and treats on the back porch, and playing ping pong and arcade games upstairs. As an added bonus, there's a small and historical graveyard on the street. We visited to pay our respects and had fun researching the family. We did have an unexpected snag with smoke detectors sounding in the middle of the night on our final night, but I was able to call and reach the host immediately (even at 3am) so we could resolve and get back to bed. Highly recommend, and I hope to return again to this property in the future!

This place has it all!!

We loved our stay at the Loving Lake Life waterfront home! The house was beautiful, clean, and had everything we needed for our stay. With the kids space upstairs, ping pong table, foosball table, pac-man, beautiful lakefront, dock with kayaks and paddleboards, a lovely outdoor space for relaxing and grilling, washer and dryer, and walking trails just down the street, you literally never have to leave! This was the perfect getaway spot for our family. Thank you, Christy, for sharing your beautiful home on Lake James with our family. It is just what we were looking for and it exceeded all our expectations!

Perfect lake house!!

This house was just perfect for us. There was so much for the boys to do between the game room, upstairs, kayaking on the lake, and exploring the local trails, just steps from the front door. We enjoyed everything this house had to offer inside and out. The owners are also very responsive, and wonderful to communicate with. We would definitely stay here again.

Peaceful Tranquility by the Lake

Wonderful lake house, with very easy access to the lake just steps away. House is new, with plenty of activities to do inside and outside. Very safe, quiet neighborhood. Supermarkets and restaurants just 15 mins away. If you want to have a relaxing time with nature by the lake, this is definitely a great place to stay.

Perfect lake retreat

Everything was perfect. It is a beautiful home and very clean. We could have not asked for anything more. The location in the cove on the lake was the best. You can swim right off the dock without fear of being run over by other boats. Also, the cove is perfect for kayaking or paddle boards. Communication with the owner was easy although not much was necessary since everything was perfect. We are already looking at the calendar for next year!

Great rental

The home was new, clean, and in a nice area of Lake James. The kitchen was well-stocked and the home had great amenities. It was an easy walk to the dock and we and our teen sons loved the kayaks and SUP boards. The only issue was that it was hard to dock our boat. We had to take down the bimini each time we pulled up to the dock. But, it was doable and did not interfere with the enjoyment of the vacation.

Great week-long stay in July

Everything about the stay here was easy...checking-in, accessing the lake/dock, getting questions answered timely from the owner, getting to the grocery stores and restaurants, and checking out. House was comfortable and an adequate size for our group of 4 adults. Nice outdoor covered deck with TV for viewing. We enjoyed kayaking every day and although we brought our own life jackets, there were plenty available in all sizes to use if needed. The neighborhood was very quiet, even on the weekend, which we liked. We would rent here again.

Perfect place!

One of our favorite VRBO experiences! Super easy communication with property manager. House is brand new with great amenities. Super quite neighborhood. The dock was a great asset, we kept our boat there. There was kayaks and life jackets available for the guests. The ping pong table was a huge hit with our family. Already looking for dates to stay in this rental again!!! Highly recommend

Beautiful lake house

Even though it rained…

We rented for five days with our daughter and son-in-law, anticipating hiking, kayaking, paddle boarding and relaxing on the dock with a book. Unfortunately it rained all five days! However, we played lots of board games and cards, had a afternoon beer at the local brewery and sipped wine on the porch of a nearby winery. Great property with everything we needed except the sunshine! We still very much enjoyed our stay in spite of the rain and definitely plan on returning!

Amazing lake house vacation!

This house is in a lovely quiet gated neighborhood on the lake. The house is newer construction with a dock on the lake. My college age kids had a blast kayaking, paddle boarding and swimming off the dock. The back patio has a tv and we watched movies at night. We walked the trails in the neighborhood and enjoyed nature. This house has easy access from the house to the lake- no steep stairs. Awesome game room upstairs with ping pong, Pac-Man and a tv. We loved our stay!
