We stayed here on 11-11-2016 as we were traveling, we actually ended up staying 2 nights instead of just one because of the experience we had with This Hotel... Just this month we decided to just get away and take a couple days of relaxation and we decided to drive 45 minutes out of the way to come stay here again, no reason for the stay other than the experience, comfort and hospitality of the employees here... Actually, it had been a couple months since our first stay and the wonderful lady at the front desk knew exactly who we were, to us that absolutely tells you how welcoming this hotel is, all the faces in and out but yet she remembered ours... Can't wait for more little getaways and enjoying the comfort of this hotel...
Stayed here last night. Great rate, clean, and convenient to everything. Friendly staff and free breakfast. Casino and store next door as well. Nice room with fridge and microwave. Nicely decorated lobby
Sleep Inn was very accommodating. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The manager went out of her way to assist us. The grounds were clean and well kept. Breakfast was good. We enjoyed our stay very much.
This was the absolute best hotel we have stayed in. The hospitality of the staff could not be matched. The room was very cozy and exteremly comfortable. The breakfast in the mornings were a nice touch and had something for every taste. We stayed four days and three nights and will definitely make this our favorite home away from home many more times. Thank you for an awesome experience.
We were here for family reunion & this was hotel our family selected. Check in was great. Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was adequate. Staff was professional and courteous. We were quite pleased with our stay.
I checked into this hotel early am. I checked out after getting about 4 hours of sleep. I left and hit the long road back home. When I arrived at home I checked out my balance on my cc. It indicated that there was 5 different charges on my account which lowered my credit limit by quite a bit. I called and talked to the manager and he was very rude. I say the quick response from the cc bank took care of this issue. But still, why be rude. Other than the rudeness the front desk clerks were very nice and professional. The elevator looked as if it haven't been vacuumed in a month. The rooms were fairly decent clean. Very comfy bed was a high point of my stay. Other than this issue I enjoyed my stay.
Made reservations months in advance for an event. Checked in with no problems, but when got to room it was a double instead of a king. Also the room was permeated with a cigarette smoke smell. This is a non-smoking hotel! Several others in the party had smoky rooms also. Attempted to get back to the lobby via elevator, but would not function. A sign posted in the elevator said "push and hold button" which worked to no avail after numerous tries. Luckily the door finally opened and I took the stairs down. There wasn't a problem according to the service representative. But when I insisted the elevator was a safety issue, she said they had in fact called but couldn't get anyone out until Monday. This was Friday. No problem? We were moved to the first floor, however hubby got stuck in the elevator with luggage. As luck would have it, the elevator did return to the lobby if the lobby button was pushed. The service representative informed me of that. Second room was better. But the pillows were small squares and the bed hard. There was so little water pressure in the shower, the shower pull would not stay up for a shower. The bath took over 20 minutes to get 6 inches in the tub. The noise between rooms, both to the side and above was incredibly disturbing. After a couple of sleepless nights, it was time to go home. On check out, there were additional room charges that were billed that could not be explained. Perhaps the switch from double to king. I was assured they would be removed as there was no explanation for them. They were not. Chalking it up to poor communication and the need for better customer service
I spent several weeks at this hotel due to business. There are not many hotels in this area so there is no competition and their service reflects this. Being a Celiac I am unable to eat wheat, rye or barley so that is most of what they have on the breakfast bar. The one exception was the instant oat meal. One morning after I ate the last package I told the desk clerk that they were out of it and she asked do you need some? I replied that I would tomorrow. The next day there still was none and when I questioned the same desk clerk she said "oh we are out of it". To which I replied "yes, that is what I told you yesterday". I them drove 5 miles to a Shoney's to get something I could eat other than the biscuits and gravy that they always serve at the hotel.
I have stayed at this hotel a couple of times for business travel. Each time it is something different from either having mice in the rooms, broken chairs, broken TV remotes, paper thin walls (VERY NOISY), very very poor internet service and occasional poor customer service. I stay in a lot of Choice Hotel brands and this is by far the worst of their brand names. I stay here only becuase the rest of the hotels in the area arent much better.
On 8-14-13 at around 11pm we were in the Morgan City area and decided to stay overnight. We went to a few hotels and they were booked, so pulled into Sleep Inn to see what they had available. The desk clerk happen to be standing at the front door smoking, so from the car we ask if she had any room available, her response was "don't you even want to know what the rate is?" like she wanted us to just leave. So we ask the rate, she told us, we said that's fine, do you have any rooms. She was telling us she couldn't hear it's too loud out here with a nasty look on here face, so my man went inside to rent a room. She got really nasty and talked down to him, then picks up the phone called someone and said he has been drinking?!?! We had had a few drinks that's why we decided to stay over and do the responsible thing and do drive. Isn't that what hotels are for??? AND no one was ugly to that woman, there was no reason for that nasty attitude, all I can think of is that we interrupted her smoke break. We will NEVER go there again!
