Comfortable place to stay
Myself and two coworkers stayed at this house for a few days while we worked on a project in Moose Pass. House had everything we needed, including wifi. Owners were quick to respond and easy to work with.

Convenient/Private Location
There is not a lot to do in Moose Pass itself other than hiking and kayaking, but the location is quiet and private, and it's only a short 1/2 hour drive to Seward.

Nice Place in Moose Pass
The description on the website is very accurate. This is a nice, clean place that overlooks Trail Lake. It was comfortable with a kitchen stocked well enough to cook meals for a large family. Note that the nice, large grill is charcoal only. Be sure to bring a bag of charcoal if you plan to grill.

Convenient Country Cabin
This was a perfect setting for our family vacation to Alaska, convenient to Whittier and Seward, yet quiet and beautiful. View of the lake, very pleasant to walk around in the morning. A great restaurant about a mile down the street, good food, reasonable prices. The cabin itself easily accommodated 6 adults and our host Diane, was great to work with.

Short Kenai visit
Although it rained for almost the entire time we visited, this home was well located to take advantage of many Kenai locations and activities. We made relatively convenient trips to both Seward and Whittier. If the weather had been better we would have been able to take advantage of multiple hiking trails in the area.

Decent property in an okay location
Home was as advertised for the most part. Not being from the area made it hard to gauge where it was in relation to other towns. We stayed here as a base camp for some fishing in Cooper Landing as everything there was full. It was about a 20-25 minute drive which was very manageable. About 35 minutes to Seward. Moose Pass is very small with only a restaurant or two. The home is located right off the HWY but noise and impact were minimal. House was clean but did have a musty/mildew type odor that was pretty strong. Looked like some mold throughout the grout where the shower wall meets the tub and the toilet seemed to leak as water would pool up around the base on the floor. Also saw some water damage on wall so I’m sure these things contributed to the odor. Dishwasher was running and full when we got there and full/used bars of soap where left at the bathroom sinks and in the shower/tub. I’m hoping these were just cleaning oversights as opposed to something left out with the intention of being reused. It was really nice to have the washer and dryer and that was a large part of why we stayed there. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen appears to be newly remodeled and was well stocked. A full bag of ice was in the freezer and s’mores kit left on the table which was a nice touch. Fans and heaters were provided if needed. I feel it was a bit over-priced based on the other places that we stayed but it met our needs in getting laundry done and being near Cooper Landing which was an absolutely gorgeous area.

Great stay in Moose Pass!
Our multigenerational family group had a great stay at this lovely home! It is big enough to spread out, with the grandmother having her own bedroom and half-bath on the second floor, kids in the two-twin room, and parents in the other bedroom. The kitchen is well-stocked, and there was even bear spray to borrow, which we greatly appreciated having for our walks. Moose Pass is a tiny town, but we enjoyed getting oatmeal down the street at the shop, kayaking on the river/lake, and doing a fish/float boat nearby in Cooper Landing. It is a really cute place to stop between Anchorage and Seward, and having a lovely home to cook meals and relax was amazing! Thank you so much for our stay!

Excellent location, outstanding scenery!
We have friends just down the road in Moose Pass. This property was the perfect location to be close to them. The view of Trail Lake right across the highway and the mountain in the distance made for an enjoyable view. The property sits right on the Seward Highway, but the road noise is minimal. Airplanes take off & land on Trail Lake, which was enjoyable to watch, and minimal noise. Moose Pass has a Post Office which we used. Also a couple of cute locally owned stores. We got coffee & drinks and a local cookbook at one store and fudge, souvenirs and nuts at the other store. Such hospitable people in that very tiny town. We understand when tourism picks up, there will be more charter bus traffic on the Seward Highway, but we did not find the traffic in front of the house to be any trouble at all. It’s about a 30 minute drive to Seward. We went down there several times. It’s a little over 1.5 hours from The Anchorage airport and a beautiful drive. Do not hesitate to book this property. It’s everything you’d ever want it to be.
