--LOCATION--
The cabin is located on a hill, in a peaceful wooded area of Hawkins County. Once you make your way up, you will be pleasantly surprised by the beautiful views and amenities the cabin has to offer.
Please note: there are no fence lines dividing our property from the neighbors. In the back of our property, our property line ends at the bottom of the hill (there is a birdhouse there for reference). Please do not explore the property beyond that area, as it does not belong to us. Our property is the wooded area in front of the house, down to the street.

--DURING YOUR STAY, THINGS TO NOTE--
The cabin is located in a wooded area, and there are all kinds of bugs and critters that crawl, slither, and fly! This is normal in Tennessee. We try our best to keep them out, but dead bugs are an expected occurrence as we have the cabin treated for pests monthly. Stink bugs and Asian Beetles (they resemble Lady Bugs) are very common in this area.
--SAFETY & SECURITY--
*For Families with Children*
While we welcome children and provide many amenities for children, please understand the home is not entirely childproof. The property has steep hills and stairs, which may become a safety hazard for small children. We offer many child amenities to make your stay with children as comfortable as possible. We provide a high chair, pack-n-play, baby gates, bathroom step stool, child toilet seat, outlet covers and doorknob covers (for you to install), and plastic plates, cups, and bowls. As well as a few toys and books for children.
*Security Cameras on Premises*
For your safety and the safety of our cabin, security cameras are located on the exterior of the property. Cameras are at the following locations: front porch, back porch, driveway, downstairs garage side door, and side porch area.
--LOCAL PLACES TO VISIT--
If you are looking for something local to do:
Historic Rogersville is rich in history, making it a must-see place to explore! It was founded in 1775 by the grandparents of Davy Crockett. It's the second oldest town in Tennessee. A fun place to spend the day shopping and dining.
If you are looking for a nearby place to eat:
The Green Tomato Grill is a local favorite! Their Fried Macaroni Cheese Balls are my favorite! They are located in Mooresburg, 11 minutes (7.3 miles) from the cabin.
Bull Babies is also a local favorite for breakfast and lunch, open 7 days a week in downtown Rogersville.
Looking to head to Cherokee Lake:
German Creek Marina in Bean Station is a 21-minute drive away (16.9 miles) for pontoon boat rentals.
Lakeside Marina is also about 20 minutes away for pontoon boat rentals.
Day Trips:
The cabin is centrally located to many points of interest and activities. From Bear Lodge, you are about 1 to 1.5 hours away from the Mcghee Tyson Airport (TYS) in Alcoa, Dollywood, Downtown Knoxville, Great Smokey Mountains National Park, Gatlinburg & Bristol Speedway.
These are a few of our family favorites:
• WindRock park in Oliver Springs to rent UTVs
• Fly fishing on the Holston River in Bristol
• White Water Rafting in Hartford (near Gatlinburg)
• Cherokee Lake for boating and fishing
• Johnson City has great mountain bike trails and places to rent bikes
• Sugarlands and Ole Smoky Distilleries in Gatlinburg
• Dollywood
Before check-in, I will send you a welcome book with additional local attractions and recommendations!
