Terrible experience! We actually had to leave to the Sofitel because how this property was.
Our two-night stay at Manava Beach Resort was truly a dream come true. From the moment we pulled into the parking lot, the staff was so friendly and efficient. Our bags were immediately moved from our trunk to our room and then the check-in process was quick and smooth. The front desk staff, especially Mathilde and Maeva, were so friendly as was Teremoana the towel guy at the pool. The facilities were all impeccably clean; our overwater bungalow and large and comfortable. We had a great lunch by the infinity pool and easily walked offsite for dining options. This was a very memorable stay and we can't wait to return next year!
Nice property but slightly dated. We had to bring our own bags to the room. There was a strange sound in our over water bungalow. Maintenance came quickly and determined that there was an issue with the boiler. We were moved to a premium overwater bungalow. Room was not cleaned in the 3 days we stayed there probably due to covid.
We liked the friendliness of the staff but didn't like that they didn't have answers to many of our questions. They should be knowledgeable of the property and with basic tourist information. And if they don't have an answer, make an effort to find the answer or at least point us in the right direction.

Location, affordability, makes this property the number one choice when staying in Moorea. If you’re going to go to a Moorea it is an absolute that you spend time in a overwater beach bungalow it even has a glass window on the floor. Note if you are not used to how the French operate be patient and polite. But the management is always right on top of any concerns you may have. I cannot praise the management any higher for their customer service I would definitely go back here again and again and again it actually makes me sad to have to promote this place I would prefer that would stay a quiet secret I cannot praise the management any higher for their customer service I would definitely go back here again and again and again it actually makes me sad to have to promote this place I would prefer that it would stay a quiet secret

Orbitz lied to me, when i originally booked my trip through orbitz i was told by orbitz that my package included a meal plan at the resort (i even taped the orbitz sales person tell me my package came with meal plan) later on the resort told me it did not. I had no choice but to pay for the meal plan. Orbitz also missguided me on the check baggage allowance. On my first two planes American airlines from JFK to LAX and Air Tahiti Nui from LAX to Faaa i was told i was allowed 2 checked bags, one carry on & personal item per person but on third connecting flight from papeete to moorea by Air tahiti i was charged $50 for my carry on and then another $50 on my way back from Moorea to papeete there was nothing i could do but pay it. I travel frequently and will never make travel arrangements using orbitz again and will tell my friends the same . The resort in Moorea had nothing to do with they were fabulous . We plan on going again but never through orbitz.
I've stayed at several resorts in the past and this resort ranks up at the top. It is a smaller resort but that allows the staff to get to know you. If there was anything we needed during our stay, it was quickly addressed (i.e. new coffee pot at 3:00 am...we were struggling with the time change..lol). Our room was always clean and freshened and lovely items left each day. Would definitely recommend staying here and hope to go back soon.
Nice hotel, close to the sea but covered with coral so it was hard to swim out.
This was the best hotel experience my wife and I have ever had. From the moment we walked in they greeted us with a cool cloth and a glass of lemonade while we waited for our room to be ready. We got a tour of the grounds and were allowed to use the pool while waiting. The overwater bungalo was absolutely breathtaking. There were paddle board, kayaks, and snorkel equipment available at no extra cost. The grounds were always kept clean and there is a pearl store on site that we purchased a beautiful pendant for my wife. They also gave directions to shopping center and groceries store within 5 min walking. My only regret is not booking to stay here longer. Excellent place to stay. We will definitely be back!
Good property very relaxing on lagoon with lot of good activities
I was worried that the lower prices they offer would be an indicator, but our stay was excellent, despite a bad wind storm.
This resort is absolutely beautiful and very quiet. It is not a big resort at all and so everything is very accessible. It is very quiet and very peaceful if that's the kind of place you are interested in going to. There is basically no nightlife and there is just one restaurant and one bar on the premise. Cocktails at the bar are pretty expensive unless its happy hour which was 5-7pm every night. Otherwise, a cocktail would cost about $16 each which added up quickly. My husband and I made the decision to walk to a supermarket that was 5 minutes away and get some snacks and alcohol which came out to be much cheaper. We just mixed drinks in our room and took them by the pool which was never an issue.
Staff very rood ,very very dirty and full of roaches, and they saw it and would not do anything about it. We were not the 0nly ones complaing there were others and they did nothing . Dr.Cynthia Wilson
We got the garden room with the plunge pool. Perfect since we wanted some privacy and relax in t he comfort of our room. Lovely well kept grounds, friendly staff, convenient to shopping, all amenities you need.
