Both business and personal, I have stayed many 4/5 star hotels in various countries. This certainly did not qualify as 4 star. I booked this place as last minute overnight stopover. Suite - it was called suite by separating a small room into bedroom and louge area, but it was very small and we thought there was another room, but there wasn't. Not even heated towel rails. Drain smelled - our dogs picked up before us! The worst of all, the food and restaurent. We wanted to relax and have a nice evening meal, but it was awful, uncomfortable cafe, more like. Food was ill prepared, wine list was virtually non-exeitant, came with plastic bag wine cooler. Bread was served in a paper bag... The last straw on the dinner was the so called "pear tart" for dessert. It was puff pastry, and it was warmed up by microwave, so it was all greasy and soggy. it was terrible. Then the breakfast. It was ill stocked, no service at all. There were no one to greet us, they should at least ask us for tea or coffee, but nothing. The choice was limited. While we were still eating, they started clear things up - stopped fresh fruit juice, took away pastries, etc. We came out thinking, was it a dream? For the amount of money they charged for the small ill equipped suite, 2-star rated restaurents, we wanted a relaxing stop over but...
Nice hotel, with good facilities. Nice pool, good parking. Breakfast was perfect. Only 16€ for 1 adult and 1 child. Drinks at the bar were outrageous expensive. €5,80 for a cappuccino (named Nespresso cappocino) , which was horrible and €4,00 for tea from a machine really messed up this stay. I usually don't care about prices for drinks but this time I have to make a remark. If the coffee was great and well prepared that 5 or 6 Euro doesn't matter. I complained at the reception, but they told me to go to the bar! I don't want to go back. The reception should have taken care of it. Hopefully the Novotel will do something about this.
close enough to the coast and the city center, but yet far enough to have a very quiet stay. The Novotel has been built in the spirit of the architect Balladur who gave shape to the wonderful architecture of La Grande Motte in the seventies. Nice big rooms, all comfort, good airconditioning. Fine breakfast and a good restaurant. Choice is limited to the typical Novotel Cuisine, so those who want real exclusive dining may be disappointed. One of the more expensive Novotels I have met during my many travels. Nice swimming pool, enouigh chairs and parasol for the guests.
The location of this hotel is good , in a very quiet area of La Grande Motte. I liked the part of the bar and restaurant outside very much , very relaxing , a beautiful pool too. Unfortunately the restaurant is a real disaster ! I do not understand how this is possible .There is almost nothing to order on the menu card and what you get is of very poor quality and very basic . It's a shame because this hotel deserves better ! I hope that the management will wake up and change this very soon.
We spent 4 nights at the Novotel as we had a family wedding. We booked an upgraded room which was pleasaant and fitted 2 adults and 2 children comfortably. (Loved the children's sofa beds, that folded with the sheets on it!) The swimming pool was outside and fun (and really quite cold!) The children got good at throwing themselves in the pool! We had breakfast at the hotel, which was okay when it was quiet but by the weekend was chaotic and a bit stressful. Generally friendly.
We spent five days in this Novotel, to play bridge and golf. The place is just great. The golf course is very well kept, and the views on the sea are really charming. The Novotel building is nice, for this kind of location. The parking is convenient. The reception works fine. The rooms are clean, and airy, the bathroom works fine. Everything is in need of refurbishment, but no complains. The breakfast was ok, although the croissants were not up to french standards. But then came the meals. Absolute disaster. Chicken, couscous, paella, muscles, ham, salad, waffles, everything was of the cheapest possible quality. Furthermore, the cook had no idea of what he was doing. The cooking was just bad, and the organization of the meal worse. Some people had to wait for twenty minutes to get their bad couscous. The only good news is that we ate so badly that we didn't need any weight watching! Overall, a very bad experience, in a nice place.
Stayed for one night only. Beautiful hotel right in La Grande-Motte. The location is however somewhat private. There is a gate to get into the property. The staff were very helpful. I had a standard room without a balcony, which was still very nice. Breakfast had an excellent selection. Will definitely try to stay here again when in the area for business.
We booked the hotel as part of a Euro road trip and were very pleasantly surprised with the quality of space, amenities and general service. The staff were always friendly and helpful, the check in was flawless, rooms were spotless and spacious and the breakfasts were fresh and plentiful. We also discovered Aiges Mortes a nearby medieval port/village and this is a stunning afternoon/evening trip away from the somewhat manic La Grande Motte beachfront. Side note best food on the beachfront was by far The Gourmet Burger.
This is very nice hotel which is modern and well appointed with a superb pool and golf courses to the rear. Staff are welcoming and friendly and the room we had was well laid out and comfortable with an excellent private terrace. The only issue was the poor level of air conditioning available in the room which we reported, but wasn't resolved, otherwise recommended and within 30 minutes walking distance of Le Grande Motte and more than 100 restaurants, some offering superb vistas of the Med.
This Novatel is in a beautiful spot in La Grande Motte, and if you like to smack a few golf balls on this lovely golf course, you are in the right place. I arrived here with my family on a Friday and spent the weekend in this superb hotel. On arrival and check in our daughter was offered a gift which put a big smile on her face. Our check in host was absolutely a marvellous gentleman by the name of Jean Friedrich, he was excellent at getting us all the info we needed plus booking cabs and finding the best restaurants in the area to dine at. A truly nice young man. Also special thanks to Theo for his great service and ensuring our daughter was happy. I have nothing Bad to say about this hotel, and I would not hesitate to recommende this to families looking for a comfortable and lovely stay in the scenic part of la grande motte. You can hire cycles to get to the beach which is not that far away and it was a lovely walk in tree shade to la plage du sont!! The breakfast buffy at the hotel is great, like I said this is no standard Novatel, it is a much classier hotel with great features and the pool is nice with a bar service. Thanks to the great staff and service this hotel was made even more superior to any five star hotel I have stayed in. Vive La France
