A nice central hotel. We only stay there for a night with our two kids. We didn't use the pool, which was closed at 8pm. Breakfast was a continental but ok. Nearby good restaurants with a lot of wines.

1st impression...the room stinks of smoke and there is a constant smell of smoke coming into the room all night which is making me very uncomfortable/irritating my throat/breathing. The room feels very unclean as well as the terrible smell. There is no fixing to have a proper shower. There is no plug to have a bath. We are told we have to pay extra if we want the place to be cleaned or want fresh towels. On arrival we are not told where or when to come to breakfast or where any of the facilities are? Where is the pool that is advertised?...we are told where to take our bins and we are asked for credit card deposit for damages or theft....everything is hideous there is nothing to steal! Not even a bath plug & the place is filthy and hideous I don't see how we could make it any worse. I have never been anywhere so awful and I have travelled alot. The lift is barely functional it feels like it is going to break....thankfully we are only on the 1st floor. The hob is very slow.....trying to heat a pot of pasta is proving impossible. We booked through a 3rd party website and it seems it will be very difficult to arrange a refund and go else where although we would like to. I'm sure we will have more horror to report as our stay continues but we are really not happy

Modern hotel in a great position for visiting the town. We had a quiet room overlooking the rear of the hotel and a very comfy bed! It was especially convenient to be able to cook our own meals in the room and there was even a dishwasher so we didn't have to waste time washing up. Pleasant atmosphere in the breakfast room and outdoor patio. Staff were helpful and friendly. Good quality-price ratio.

I'm gonna be frank and say it from start that f it hadn't been for the location I might have reviewed this differently. My criteria when going to Montpellier was that I wanted an apartment style of hotel with as good a location as possible without getting ridiculously expensive as I am "budget aware" and this came up as a good fit. So the establishment as a whole is a little worn, but the location on the other hand is great with walking distance to the city center and right next to the river. In front of the hotel you have a tram stop fore line 1 and 3, that means you could conveniently get around. Tram 3 is heading for the beach! Also close to two big supermarkets if your planing to cook to save, I did. The kitchen though might be a little "funny" equipped, mine for example lacked a frying pan... I stayed for a week and didn't regret my choice, with the above in mind I think you'll find it a great fit as well!

Madame Vacances Residence is a three star hotel. Some of the people are staying as a permanent basis. This hotel is fulfilling all the basic requirements (fully equipped). The reception is also open 24 hrs and staff is very co-operative. The local transport is tram and tram station is near the hotel.

We had family holidays with 2 years little one in France. We had stayed in apart hotel in Bordeaux and we really enjoyed it.So we booked 3 star Apart hotel in Montpellier. All we can say - it was terrible!!!Hotel itself in good location. But as soon as you step in-disaster!!!Dirty in hallways. All carpets dirty and stinky!!!In kitchen cutlery and the rest only for 1 person!Conditioning system was not working and nobody addressed the matter after they were informed! On second night electricity went off for more than half an hour.Elevators slow and not the best housekeeping. On departure day you are obligated to take trash out and leave kitchen tidy and clean!!!(is this 3 star apart hotel???)For parking hotel is not taking responsibility(no cameras ans no security!!!)Nevertheless the staff was pretty friendly. All we can say-we wouldn't recommend to anyone and for sure we'll never go back there!!!

We booked this last minute whilst in France as we decided that it would be too much of a rush to travel from Ardeche to Montpellier early in the morning. What a surprise! It was right in the centre of Montpellier south with lots of restaurants and night life! We weren't the 5th floor which was a it noisy from the road outside but we were in a city so to be expectedly! However you could ask to be placed at the back instead of the front of the hotel! The room had a kitchenette bathroom and separate toilet and a really lovely extra was the small swimming pool on the roof with great lounging area. Well worth the cost at only £86 for the night and only 15 mins from the airport. It also has an underground car park.

This was a decent studio apartment residence, 12 minute tram ride from the city centre. I had no issues with the room itself, it was perfect for a solo traveller , very comfortable with small but well equipped little kitchen,(No oven though). But it is definitely no more than a three stars for a few reasons. One) if you don't like cigarette smoke, this might not be the place for you. Although the building is supposed to be non-smoking, there were some guests smoking anyways and my room and clothes stank. The reception staff, though sympathetic did little to find the culprits nor did they have equipment to remove smoke from my room. They did offer to change my room and they let me redo my laundry to get the smell out, but I feel it was a bit concerning that no smoke detectors were going off. Two) This is truly a residence, there is no cleaning of your room what so ever with out costs, not even the emptying of garbage bags, nor would they give me extra bags. This means if you stay here as a tourist or short term guest (I was there for 2 weeks), you will be responsible for buying cleaning products and other items which is quite inconvenient ,as well, you will be taking out your own trash. Three) There is not much around the residence in terms of restaurants, so if you are not going cook be prepared to be obligated to go into city to eat.

This place is actually an 'apartment hotel' instead of a regular hotel. This was not mentioned clearly on the website. We stayed at this place for five nights, and were four adults in a suite, which is very tight and congested. They do have a small kitchenette and utensils. The only good things about this place is that it is close to a tram station, the staff is nice, and breakfast is quite good. We got 2 towels for 4 people, which were never replaced with fresh ones. We were refused refill of toilet paper. How can a hotel (even if it is an apartment hotel) not replenish basic requirements like TP and towels? Thankfully we were carrying personal camp towels to use. They expect you to do your dishes, but dont provide you any soap. So when you use the dishes, be aware that most likely they are not clean. You are expected to take out your trash (the disposal of which is not easy to find). There are no fans, and it gets really hot in summer. You can leave the windows open, but do expect loud noisy partying people if you get tram station facing rooms. The bedroom AC was not effective in our room, so we had to bear noises every night. Expect your keys to get demagnetized very often. Expect long delays and wait times at the elevator. We were promised a mid-stay cleaning, but never got it. Wi-Fi was very finicky and we would get it only in certain places at certain times. Not reliable at all.

After reading reviews we picked consuls de la ma for what we thought would be a quiet convenient location. We were not to know about the World extreme sports exhibition going on outside. We had to hear drunken teenagers until 5.00 am. Also we had to park over a mile away. The room was ok but the air conditioning did not work and we could hardly open a window because of the noise out side. As we left in the morning we were told we had to have the room inspected and wait for the results. Never again. The reception staff were polite though and apologetic about the noise.
