Delightful gite in La Graffeuille with exclusive use of swimming pool & hot tub

Gite la Graffeuille and the owners' house sit in an acre of lovely gardens. The gite is separate and securely fenced off from the main house, with the half an acre of garden, plus the swimming pool ( with safety alarm), being exclusive to the gite guests (open May to October) The wood-fired hot tub is available all year, and is also exclusive to you.
This 2 bedroom, recently- refurbished, gite sleeps 5.
There is a spacious and well-equipped kitchen/ dining room, including a cooker, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, coffee- maker and high chair. A washing-machine, ironing board and iron are available on request. The comfortable sitting room has a stunning view through triple patio doors. There is English and French TV, DVD player, CD player, Wifi, and a selection of DVDs and games. The shower room/WC has a walk-in shower, illuminated sink unit, and heated towel rail. There are 2 upstairs bedrooms, the first has a double bed and cot. It leads on to a balcony, with seating for 2 people, overlooking the pool, and the views are amazing. The second bedroom has 3 single beds. All the rooms are heated by electric wall heaters in the winter, and fans are provided in both bedrooms in the summer.
There swimming pool is 8x4 metres, with a constant depth of 1.32 metres (no deep-end)The pool is fitted with a safety alarm and is surrounded by a large deck area, which offers 5 sun loungers, a table with 6 chairs, a parasol, and BBQ. There is an adult double swing in the shade of the trees, a children's swing and boule and badminton can be played on the lawn. There is off-road parking for 2 cars, and garage parking for 2 motorbikes.
Please note smoking is not permitted in the gite.
We welcome well-behaved pets.

The cottage is heated and features a kitchen and a balcony, and there's space to spread out with 2 bedrooms. Guests can expect to find free WiFi and a TV with a DVD player. Other standard amenities include a private pool, a washing machine, and a fenced private yard.

What a beautiful place

Greeting from Karen & Richard was so nice. A lovely couple who presented the property so very well. The gardens were immaculate and brilliant for the kids and our dog. We had a fantastic relaxing week. Visiting a few beautiful chateau’s. Great location just a few miles from the motorway, in the fantastic French country side. So access to the surrounding towns and villages are easy.

Perfect!

We had a wonderful week at La Graffeuille and would have been very happy to stay another week. It is such a special place with everthing that a family could need for a holiday. We loved it all - pool, decking area, large garden (fully fenced - perfect for furry friends!), hot tub, well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and a lovely balcony for morning coffee! Richard and Karen were so friendly and all communication was clear and helpful. We will definitely be back!

The most relaxed and enjoyable holiday. Karen and Richard were perfect hosts making sure everything was okay. Always ready with advice and directions of places to go. Beautiful Gite in a beautiful part of France

Richard and Karen were great hosts and equally inviting were their three beautiful dogs. They couldn’t do enough for us and nothing was a problem. The wood fired hot tub was fantastic - very relaxing after a long day out. The gite itself was well equipped and perfectly sized, surrounded by peaceful French Countryside. A perfect respite but also well placed for many trips out, there was just not enough time today everything. We would love to return.

Fabulous stay

Well appointed modern gite located in lovely quiet location. Amazing outdoor space and facilities. Great for walks our dogs were in their element. Good location for exploring the surrounding villages Fab Michelin restaurant in the village. Karen and Richard were welcoming and helpful hosts throughout our stay. If you are looking for a gem to relax in and enjoy the countryside we would recommend.

Amazing retreat with wonderful hosts!

My friend and I booked this for 6 nights and were super impressed with how immaculately the cottage/gite was kept. Karen and Richard were wonderful hosts, along with their two lovely dogs. The location is excellent if you like the quiet countryside and sweeping green hillside (which was perfect for our much needed holiday). We recommend this place highly.

Perfect holiday getaway

The gite was lovely. Exceeding our expectations, it had all we needed and more, so well equipped. Karen and Richard, our hosts were superb, unobtrusive, but informative with excellent local knowledge. The wood fired hot tub was an unexpected bonus, which used a lot during our two week stay, perfect for easing our weary legs after the long walks in the area. If you are into walks, there are so many around to chose from, we didn't get to do them all (download the Circwi app for comprehensive walk and bike routes). Set in a beautiful location, lovely garden, great patio there is plenty to do should you want to have a lazy day at base… but the weather was kind to us for the time of year so we took advantage of it. K and R have two lovely flatcoats who won over our tentative whippet… she had a ball! As did we, perfect relaxing holiday. We would definitely come again.

A great holiday

A fantastic place to stay. The hosts Karen and Richard were great and even arranged our dog Poppy’s visit to Vet for the return journey. The house is really comfortable and we’d even a good selection of UK tv channels for watching when we settled down for the evening. After lazing on the deck and around the pool. My wife and I had a fabulous stay at this lovely Gite, very hot weather so the well kept pool was an added bonus, the owners Karen and Richard are on hand if you need any advise or help but still leave you to enjoy your privacy. I would gladly recommended this Gite to Couples or families alike.

Absolutely amazing

Fantastic property, stayed for one week wished we could of stayed for longer! Hosts are great and super helpful. The gite is so well equipped and one of the most comfortable gites we have stayed in. The pool are was totally private and well cared for, outside eating space and BBQ perfect for some family time. Thanks both for a great week, hopefully we will be back some time soon. What can we say! Stunning Gite in the heart of France. Exactly as described. If you are a dog person, you will love the 3 flat coat retrievers( and the 2 cats). If you aren't, then the gite is totally separate with it's own huge garden. Karen and Richard are the perfect hosts, totally unobtrusive, but so helpful when required. We spent nearly every day in the pool, and visiting the local villages, Chateaux's and Markets. Beautiful area and gite which we hope to visit again very soon. Can't recommend enough.

Fabulous Gite

We arrived at the Gite to a warm welcome from Karen and Richard. The Gite is beautiful inside and out especially the pool area. The pool is the cleanest pool we have ever used. The Gite is fully kitted out with everything you could possibly need including a bottle of wine or two in our case! Karen and Richard are on hand if you need anything or have any questions but not instrusive. We would not hestitate to return and already looking at making a booking for 2020!

Absolutely wonderful place

The gite was absolutely amazing, me and my family stayed for a long weekend and we have the best time, even the weather was on our side which made the gite even better with the weather being 30 degrees we even had a chance to use the pool which was super clean. The gite is located in the most amazing location with absolutely stunning views and the most piece I have ever had, we where treated with the upmost respect Karen and her husband Richard are hard working individuals and try their best to please you and sure enough they do, I cannot fault them enough for the lovely vacation, they explain everything in detail and even recommend places to see. Recently returned from a lovely holiday in Karen and Richards wonderful gite in the most beautiful and peaceful countryside; total relaxation! The gite is equipped to a high standard, absolutely spotless and with everything we could possibly need for our holiday. The little thoughtful and personal touches were very much appreciated. Gorgeous pool, kept immaculately clean, wonderful gardens, very comfortable beds and our hosts wealth of local knowledge make this the perfect spot to wind down and take time out. Karen and Richard are excellent hosts, helpful and friendly but never intrusive. And of course our dog was made very welcome too! Will be back, as soon as possible!

Fantastic accommodation in a lovely location.

We stayed at this fantastic accommodation in mid June and we loved it!On arrival we were warmly welcomed by Karen and Richard who showed us around and gave us loads of local knowledge. The house has everything you need and it’s spotlessly clean. The pool area is lovely and Karen and Richard went to great effort to clean it every day.It has an alarm which is brillant if you have small children.We made great use of the lovely BBQ as well. There is loads to do in the area and Karen and Richard have put together a big folder of attractions and things to do which is very helpful. They really have thought of everything!!! The area is very rural so you do need a car to get around. We had a brillant holiday and we would definitely recommend La Graffeuille. Thank you again Karen and Richard. The Mc Loughlin’s, Ireland 🇮🇪

Fantastic house and garden in a beautiful setting

We arrived at the gite and were welcomed so warmly by the owners Karen and Rich, who live in the neighbouring house. One of the most impressive things about this gite is the fabulous outside space, and we were delighted to have a week of hot sunshine so that we could enjoy it as much as possible. The highlight of this property is the pool, which is an excellent size for the whole family to play in and do a bit of swimming too. We spent hours playing in it and Karen and Rich are meticulous in keeping in clean and in really good condition. There are plenty of toys provided to make the most of the outside space, which has a huge garden which is also really well maintained and a great barbeque, which we used everyday. The house is well equipped for a family of four or five. The living room is comfortable and has a TV and range of DVDs and games. The kitchen has everything you'd need including a dishwasher. The bathroom was clean and plenty of towels were provided for our use too. There is access to a washing machine in an outbuilding of Karen and Rich's house. The bedrooms are both upstairs and are accessed by separate staircases. In the main bedroom there is plenty of storage and a lovely balcony which has amazing views of the mountains in the distance and is great for star gazing on a clear night. The bed is a double, so a little small for us. A cot is provided as well as a fan for warm nights. The bedroom with single beds is very similar, with three provided plus plenty of storage and a fan. We did find the room was very, very hot for the children due to the very high temperatures and only a small window to allow in air. Karen and Rich have three lovely, friendly and playful dogs and our children had great fun with them, although there is a very secure fence to keep them separate from the gite. Karen and Rich are very knowledgeable about the area and are friendly, attentive hosts. Locally, the small town of Lubersac has several supermarkets and some nice looking restaurants. There is a recommended restaurant in the village, though we didn't go there. There are also local lakes to explore, though we found the pool was enough for us. We would happily visit again as we found it a very relaxing week of our holiday and in future may wish to return with our dog as they are so dog friendly. Karen and Rich are great hosts - thank you!

A warm welcome at this lovely gite with fantastic pool!

Had a lovely week in this lovely property. A wonderful warm welcome from Karen and Richard ( and Tia!) who were always willing to help make sure everything was perfect for our holiday ( even enjoying a lovely evening with them both eating bbq at a local lake! ) . The highlight has to be the pool, always spotless and well maintained, with every chance taken by the children to be splashing around. Plenty of garden for playing games too . Would definitely return.

Just returned from a fabulous stay in this wonderful gite. It has everything you could possibly need and Karen and Richard are amazing hosts who can't do enough for you. The swimming pool is meticulously maintained as are the garden and hanging baskets. I can't recommend it highly enough. We will definitely be back; tomorrow if I could!!

The property is lovely, with a lovely pool. There is a lovely, little balcony off the double bedroom, where you can watch the sunrise and observe the many birds, including jays and golden orioles. The owners are lovely, sourcing bikes for us when we enquired where to hire them. They even made us dinner when we had a power cut. I would recommend to couples and families alike. Although the gite itself is in a remote location, there's plenty to do in the area though you will need a car. All in all thank you Richard and Karen for a wonderful holiday

Nice & comfortable house with swimmingpool and big garden , surrounded by beautiful nature

We were very well welcomed by Karen and Richard. We were looking for a break in a peaceful environment and we found this at Gite La Graffeuille. The location is beautiful and many (historical) sites to visit are close by. You can walk for hours without seeing a single house. :) Our puppy, Aashni had fun with the 3 gentle dogs of the hosts. We definitely recommend this property to anyone who wants a relaxing and carefree holiday in nature. Monica, Peter & puppy Aashni
