Wonderful Mountain House

We really liked this hotel. First, the front desk staff were very helpful and really nice! Lots of personality. Second, the hotel has a real mountain quality, with the rooms walled and ceilings made of dark wood. The view is breathtaking. The food was great. Our only drawback, was that our room was off of the kitchen and just slightly noisy. It was tucked away from town, which for us was more than fine - calm, quiet and gorgeous natural surroundings.

Treacherous Driving

I had to answer something for the survey, but we didn't stay there, so I cannot rate it. I spoke with Expedia about tit. The hotel was contacted and we were not charged. I don't understand why Expedia would send a survey regarding a hotel that they are aware I never stayed in.

Hotel Belmar - a good value

Rooms in main building have great balconies with view of grounds and (distant view) of bay/coastline. Comfortable and spacious rooms (floors are VERY slippery, so be careful!) with good breakfast included (better choices for lunch and dinner in town). Furnishings and fixtures are a bit dated and worn but not shabby. Very eco and green. Friendly staff and attentive service. Decent value for the money and would probably stay here again for that reason. Randy

Beautiful hotel and grounds

Would definitely stay here again. The room was a good size with very comfortable bedding. Our room was in the reception building, so at times it was a bit noisy, as we were right under the restaurant. About 10 minutes out of town, so a car or taxi is necessary to get into town, The grounds are beautiful and the hot tub was nice too.

Belmar is quaint. not luxurious, but cozy and matched the essence of the area. a great ending location. The room did not have a phone which was inconvenient. Overall, GREAT DEAL for the price.

Beautiful Hotel w/ Great Staff

Really enjoyed our experience here. The staff was incredibly helpful, and the rooms were clean & big enough. Restaurant & breakfast were also great!
