It could have been cleaned better. Seemed like there was a layer of dust everywhere. It was ok for the price.

The gentleman who owns the inn was such a sweetheart. Very friendly, very accommodating.

OUTDATED KIND OF A DUMP NOT MUCH OF A CONT. BREAKFAST

The staff is eager to please and tries their best to satisfy any request. This is an older motel, however, we found it clean and comfortable. All the colorful flowers and greenery are lovely. We were within easy reach of the Aquarium, Lovers Pt., area beaches, Carmel and Pt. Lobos by car. We had a fridge and micro which were very useful. We found it all a real bargain on a holiday weekend.

Small room, old mattress, stained towels, however the fireplace did work which was important as the electric heater did not function properly. Staff was polite but did not choose to address any of the issues. It was a cheap room so much of this was expected.

Great hotel at reasonable price. short drive to Monterrey attractions and 17 mile drive.

Overall good stay thanks ONLY to staff service! Lacking many common features of modern hotels. Does have working gas fireplace and comfy beds! would stay again in a short pinch....but expect spartan style!

Check in was easy got the keys checked the room, floor is stained and sticky was a hair on my sheets fireplace was nice though bathroom was nice too. First night was nice and not noisy but me and my fiancé woke up with bug bites from bed bugs. Asked for a couple nights for free staff gave me 1 but wouldn't let me change rooms and stay that free night. Day of checkout if you are a minute past 11am they come and pound on your door until you open it then demand your out in 10 minutes. Overall was just average staff was ok some are friendly but there is a language barrier. Check the beds and room before you sleep though.

I thought the room would be worst the furniture was old they half cleaned the room the fireplace was a nice touch it actually kept us warm. The location was great it was close to a cvs, gas station and restaurants. I wouldn't stay here again though.

I am not unreasonable, I know you get what you pay for; howver, there is a difference between small or outdated and filthy! The comforter had blood stains on it. The headboard of the bed had girls names and phone numbers written in which I can only assume would be "working girls". There was mold throughout the bathroom and the toilet leaked which produced further mold with the added stench of urine. The towels and sheets also had stains on them. The bed had hair in it and wrinkled sheets which I feel had not been washed, just pulled back over the bed. When I addressed these issues with the manager, he was less than cooperative. I will be reporting this place to Department of Health Servies and I would highly recommend removing this hotel option from your website as it is also a reflection on this website as well

Room was clean and nice, staff was very friendly. Overall a good experience.

Owner was kind and honest. Room was clean and facilities were all good condition, safety was good, very good rest due comfortable stay.

We had a hard time locating this motel because the name had been changed from the Blue Lagoon Inn to the Fireplace Inn. The room was clean. The TV did not have a large variety of channels. For the price it was fine for an overnight stay.

It was a cozy room with bath tube and fire place. I would definitely recommend this place to couples traveling

First of all, the motel has changed its name to the Fireplace Inn. I drove up and down the street several times looking for the Blue Lagoon, which no longer exists. It was fairly clean, but still a dump. There was a fireplace in the room, but I don't see how you could turn it on without the bedding catching fire. There was barely 18 inches between the bed and the fireplace. No air conditioning so don't ask. Find something else if you can.

The rooms are very VERY small. Newly painted and the fireplace is a nice touch (gas logs). I thought the property was overpriced, but we would have been willing to stay a second night except that they were going to jump the price nearly $40 because it would be Friday.....

This hotel is not a luxury place, but it is very cute and clean. The room had a fireplace and king sized bed. The room included free wi-fi, continental breakfast, parking and cable TV. The furniture is a little worn, but sturdy and comfortable. The staff was very nice. It is now renamed "The Fireplace Inn."

I have a reservation for one night. After 300 miles road, I am at the hotel at 3am.. when I go to the office. He says (yells) "There is no room!!" and he shoo off us.. DO NOT STAY THIS HOTEL!!

Is was clean but they didn't leave any soap or shampoo

I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel and its management. They are awesome owners who took the time to chit chat and ask about your stay. The rooms are very clean and the only downside (if you could call it that) was there was no fan however, it was not needed as the weather was nice and cool. Conveniently located to all sightseeing and the pillows/beds were very comfy.
