Doctors Cave Beach Hotel

We booked a week but only lasted 3 days. Trying for a more affordable trip but found that everything costs extra. $25 if you arrive before 3:00, $8 per day for a key to the safe, etc. No restaurant in the hotel and if you tried to walk for a sandwich, you were overwhelmed with local folks trying to sell you something. Beach was beautiful but cost $6 to enter. Room was sparse and daily barrage of loud music made it difficult to relax. Save a little longer and go to a resort.

My stay was only one day, was unable to tour the grounds because it rained

Dirty room bad Ac rear of hotel unclean Dirty dirty hot hot dark dark service sucks have to check out right away

We had a group of 18 stay and it took forever to get checked in and then the a/c hadn't been turned on in our rooms when we got to them. We couldn't get internet at all in our rooms (which the ad led us to believe) and it was not good in lobby or lounge area. Everything else is great but if you need internet, this is not the place.

I went to Doctors Cave after staying 2 hotels down and thought it would be comparable. I was wrong. The shower head didn't even give a drizzle. There was a huge cockroach (on the third floor) resulting in us renaming it "Cockroach Cave" internet was only in the lobby and intermittent and the breakfast they offered was only bread not even a banana.

Hotel's furnishing in need of upgrade no wi-fi in rooms. Notwithstanding, the hotel provides a private and quiet get-a-way, in the busy Montego Bay Hip Strip.

It was a great place to stay in Montego Bay a day before we were flying off. The hotel has access to the beach - there are no public beaches nearby.

HOTEL WAS JUST NICE. HAD ISSUE WITH THE BATHROOM TUB OVERFLOWING ALOT. STAFF WAS VERY ATTENTIVE. JUST LIKED IT FOR THE HIPSTRIP LOCATION

the kids enjoy the pool table and the table tennis playing. my young son was fond of the night swimming in the pool and eating jerk chicken.

I had the opportunity to stay at the Doctor's Cave Beach Hotel for the weekend. It was a great hotel! I loved the location because there was soo much to do around the area.

Upon arrival we asked for a ground floor room instead we were put on the 3rd floor with no elevator. The swimming pool was a little green, beds were two twins pushed together and very uncomfortable. Will not be staying there again.

Doctor’s Cave Beach hotel was ok for a quick trip to Montego Bay. Location is easy to find. It is right on the HIP strip and best of all right across the street from the Doctor’s Cave Beach – by far a top beach on our list and alone worth the visit to Montego Bay. The hotel is surrounded by a nice garden though our room had a street view – according to the bell hop; an ocean view – according to us! None the less, all was quiet most of the time. The room was a bit uncomfortable. If they would just upgrade the bed linens it would be much better. The bathroom was ok, but hot water was hard to come by. No refrigerator and the ice was far from the room. Our room had a very private balcony w/ seating. There is only WiFi in the hotel lobby/common areas; not in the rooms. The hotel has a cool looking bar and nice pool. Breakfast is light – toast and tea/coffee. All the staff was very nice though. A bit overpriced for the condition of the hotel rooms. As for Montego Bay – wouldn’t stay there again except that Doctor’s Cave Beach is so awesome! Next time would try another hotel. We stayed longer in Ocho Rios and loved it there!! Stayed at Condo’s at the Ridge / Mystic Ridge – best place we ever stayed at!

Good location, most pleasant staff, good size rooms, comfortable bedding, decent pool, nice bar. Breakfast was toast, a small tasty muffin, and good coffee. Fruit or juice would have been a pleasure. TV watching, smoking guests arguing through the paper thin adjoining door at 3 & 4 AM not appreciated. Grounds looked like they had once been beautiful. Our room needed a better renovation job in the bathroom, dishes and cutlery in the kitchenette, a heavier or blocked-in connecting door, and it would be a 3.5 star place. Got wifi in 2nd floor suite. First room had very noisy a/c and poor tv signal.

Very pleasing, staff was genuinely kind and pleasant. Breakfast was good

I stayed in this hotel and it has a lot of room in the rooms, I had a suite, but the bed was uncomfortable and the pool was not operable and the whole pool area was in bad condition. The staff was very friendly. For the price, I would rather stay in a nice resort.

Everyone at this hotel was super friendly and helpful. The location is great. Right on Hip Strip, across the street from Doc's Beach, one of the best in the area, convenient walking to shops and dining. Room nothing too special but was spacious and clean. Overall happy with what I got for the price.

The staff was great and very helpful with all our needs. The garden is beautiful !!!!!!

Friendly helpful staff. Good value for the money. Very friendly staff. Very good value for the money. I'd stay there again. Close to the beach and Montego Bay nightlife.

My daughter stayed at this resort. She is in her twenties and is single. She felt safe here and enjoyed the beach. She said it was luxurious compared to the cheaper hotel she stayed at before.

We were on our honeymoon and the atmosphere was great. We would definately go back and stay at Doctor's Cave.

Good Afternoon, Thank you for choosing Doctors Cave Beach Hotel. Check in time is at 3pm, however if you do wish for an early check in it will be $25, and the cost for the safety deposit per day is $3. It is the hotel policy. I must say that I am sorry that you did not have a good time however I do hope for your return in order to exceed your expectations on your second trip. Kind Regards, Reservations
